Sunday 7 May 2006

Nothing organised !

I m on another garden theme here ,with Donna's dear little bird house ,and as I mentioned the other day the contents of the shed ! which has all been sorted out now ,the rubbish disposed of and the other stuff put back all nice and tidy,

Well its been a strange sort of Sunday,Maurice is working tonight so the plan was for him to have a long lie in ,but off course he woke early ,and couldnt get back to sleep ,though he did manage a couple of hours this afternoon ,he has been asked to swap his next three days for night shifts as he has to train some men,for the night shift ,making it six nights in a row to work ,,ah well its not often so I dont mind too much .

As I started off talking about the garden ,after two and a half lovely sunny days when we have done so much its now rained for twenty four hours steadily,so the rain as they say stopped play ! never mind the garden is really enjoying a very welcome drink ,and will help all our new little plants settle in ........Mark and Chrissie arrived about 2 pm which was a nice surprise ,they were here for about an hour and a half , Maurice was just getting up to get ready when the phone went ,to say Jean and Pete were on thier way over ,Jean (my sister said she felt sure Maurice was on days tomorrow ),of course she was right ,but didnt know about the change of plan !!they were here for about half an hour before Maurice had to go ,then stayed on a couple more hours with me which was nice ,a bit late for an entry ....but I've done one anyway lol ...............So on that happy note I'll wish you all a belated Blessed Sunday ..With Love From

Hi Jan! Good job with the shed! It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate isn't it?! Six nights on your own!!! wow, hope you won't be lonely ~ we could have a chat one night? Sorry you've had so much rain ~ although you are right that the garden's need it! We had rain last night, loads, but today was gorgeous all day :-) Glad you had lovely visitors, and some company once Maurice had gone to work! Have a lovely evening. Take care :-)

Hi Jan,

All my gardening has gone on hold for the time being.  I want to put the Summer bedding plants in tubs and baskets but with my luck the weather will turn cold again.  Wouldn`t it be nice if it rained at night but was sunny all day? :o)

Donna's little bird house is lovely ~ Amazing how much a shed will hold glad yours in all nice and tidy now ~ Poor Maurice having to work six nights straight off ~ but when he has to train others I don't expect he has much choice ~ yes I agree that the garden is really enjoying the rain ~ and was in need of watering ~ glad you enjoyed your company ~ Ally

Glad you got your shed sorted out! I hope Maurice copes with his nights, I used to do nights, did it for three years; Andy's done it for six years now, it really messes you up! Hope you have a good week. Jeannette xx

LOL...I guess you need that rain to keep your gardens lovely.  Isn't it so nice when a task is completed and everything is back in order again.  I can't wait to get all my things back in place.  Have a great week!  HUGS  Chris

Yes, we certainly need the rain, trouble is we are not getting enough, only a few showers here.  Glad you had a good day.

Just the one shed then? We're a three shed family don'tcha know. <Used my best snooty voice for that, lol>
I love it when people pay a surprise visit. (If nothing else it's a good excuse to stop working and have a natter.)
I don't envy Maurice, I haven't done a night shift for a long time but I well remember how much they mess up your system.
