Thursday and Friday

I know I've used this before but Donna's designs can be looked at over and over !We had a couple of busy days Maurice has been off and for once the weather has been good so the grass has been cut and lots of odd jobs done in the garden,

The day before yesterday I was aware that apart from Maurice Scooby and I someone else had moved in ! see his picture ?That was fine but before bedtime I wanted a bath ,so he was taken in a peice of kitchen tissue into the garden ,arent I brave ?well it as the least I could do having distroyed all the lovely embroidery he been presenting me with .

Yesterday we went into Huntingdon,a lovely drive in the sunshine ,discussing what an artist Mother nature is, see the fields of oil seed Rape ,the Yellow against the lush green ,wonderful ! Maurice bought a new pair of jeans and me a pair of 3/4 leg  joggers....We then went to Focus Maurice has decided my desk isnt big enough,so is playing around with ideas of making me a bench type set up with more room to accomadate the printer/scanner ,and photo dock and all the other  ob je da,I seem to surround myself with .He was looking for ideas at this stage

We looked round the garden centre in there and found the lovely flaming Katie plant and lots of stuff for the garden .Then it was off for a burger and chips with a lovely creamy cappuchino, before we went to Wilkinsons . Here Maurice bought a grape vine ,and a raspberry bush ,dont know how they will fare but interesting to see what happens

We set off for home and on the way Maurice suggests we look in at friend of his, who runs a Patio and all it involves business, and Maurice got a lovely welcome and whilst they were chatting Iwandered around looking ,and taking pictures of some of the fasinating water features they had on show there ,

And so home, where Maurice put all the new babies to bed (seeds and plants )and I read loaaaads of journals ,I dont feel I can do an entry until,I have cleared them ! I didnt do an entry ! we sat out side on the patio with Glen the young fellow from next door ,untill quite late .

Have a lovely Saturday everyone ,With Love from Jan xx

What great pictures Jan and yes that certainly is a big spider. Glad you let it go. You know the saying "if you wish to live and thrive, let the spider go alive".  Certainly sounds as if you have been having a lovely time and hoping you enjoyed the lovely sunny weather.  Have a good weekend my friend.

Harry looks a lovely spider, I love them and hate it when people kill them! Glad you had a good day out, lucky you having a bigger desk built!! I'm trying to rearrange and declutter today, maybe then I'll have more room, haven't got a Maurice to build for me!! I love the water features, like the slate one best! Have a good weekend. Also the fields of yellow were gorgeous ~ you could make a screensaver out of one of those pictures :-) And I could do with a bigger desk for all my bumph.......how lovely for Maurice to make you one! Finally, the water features in the photo's are great ~ we'd love one but not sure if there's any room for one! I liked the three pots best :-) Have a lovely weekend and take care!

Pictures are lovely Jan I love the reflection of you holding your camera to take the picture ~ It was brave of you to remove that spider ~ I shared the shower with one the other morning ~ didn't notice him at first otherwise I would have run a mile ~ that was the shortest shower I have ever had lol ~ The fields of rape look beautiful at this time of the year ~ Nature is really wonderful ~ Ally

Last year I bought a gadget to remove spiders. Its a battery operated tube about a foot long  thats sucks them up so that they can then be deposited outside without being harmed..and more to the point without me having to touch them!!!!!!!!  You wre very brave.  Eve

I don't mind spiders either - 'The spiders are the good guys, they eat the nasty flies'!
I put a towel over the side of the bath so that they can climb up and get out.
Did you take those pic's at DD's Garden Centre Jan? Haven't been there for a while - but now that Summer's here...... :-)
The fields of rape seed are lovely, aren't they? I drive past them every day on my  way to work :-)
Got the grass cut and the washing dry before it rained - yay!
Have a lovely Sunday folks!

Nice pics Jan,  I don`t mind spiders at all but I prefer not to have one in the bathroom!  We used to have one called Stanley who took up residence in the living room.  You have such a nice garden, it`s very well designed.  The fields of oil seed rape remind me of when we went to a wedding in St. Ives Cambs, it is such a flat county. :o)

Sounds like you and Maurice had a lovely couple of days.....great photos.  I'd love a nice water feature like those for my garden but they all seem so expensive.  I'm like you - I can't do my own entry 'til I've caught up on everyone else's!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend. ;o)

I am so impressed that you actually let the spider go in your garden!  I would have smashed him with toilet paper and given him a burial at sea by flushing him down the toilet!  Eww, I hate spiders!  Where we live, we have those big hairy tarantula spiders.  It's my worst nightmare that one of those gets in the house.  LOL              Have a great weekend!

Hi there Jan,

Thank you for the kind comments to my blog but, on reading your work, I have to say that we too have had our share of spiders.  I have never seen one as large as the spider that seems to be hovering, on the wall, above our heads.  I would say it is two or even three inches in total length.

I was pleased to see some of the water features because, now that we have a garden we can use, we too are looking to purchase something that will move water around and make a pleasent water noise.

I do not know what we will end up with but most likely, it will have a solar block to make it work.

Thank you for sharing your journal with me and thank you for the ideas you were able to give me from your photos.

By for now,

John.

Hate them things with a passion...They make me feel physically sick...We never had hardly any spiders until last summer and this spring...I blame the building works out the back and they are HUGE...Either down the plughole or am afraid i kill them...I feel sick just typing this ugh...The yellow does look pretty but it's horrible for hayfever sufferers :o(  Actually i have heard that due to the increase in oil seed rape being grown in this country more and more are suffering from hayfever :o(  The water features are lovely :o)   Caff xxx

Thanks for stopping by my journal this morning.  We are lucky to have such wonderful husbands who help out when we need them.  I'm blessed with Dennis.  He's so busy at work but he will pitch in around here when he sees I'm in need.  Have a Blessed Sunday!!                                Kathy
