No theme just green.

Maurice is on duty this morning ,he left just after six o clock by six thirty I was cold and couldnt get off to sleep again ,so that decides it ,the summer quilt,is to be changed for the winter weight one.Its a lovely sunny morning here, but that nip is in the air.I will start looking out some warmer clothes too.I bought some very nice cord material, with machine stitched embroidery, slightly stretchy,in bottle green ,a couple of months ago,I cut it out ,now is the time to start thinking of completing it.It will go very nicely with a cardigan I bought in Ireland, early last year,as my Daughter in law said when I bought some sage green wool recently, whats with all this green ,all of a sudden. That made me think........I once lived somewhere ,where there was a lot of green and I wasnt happy,so maybe thats it.Well I must be over it now,we painted the bathroom pale green, with bottle green accessories, even have three green bottles.............hanging ,no sitting on the edge of the bath.We also have a green leather suite in the lounge,So yea Im over it !!!Then again it might be Maurices influance, he was born in Ireland, quite near the place A ngelas ashes was made,A beautiful country!!Ill tell you a secret ,I have a shamrock tattoo about eight inches above my left knee.I had just turned sixty when I got it done so I asked the guy did he do reductions for pensioners!!!he roared with laughter, and promptly knocked, some money off,Its no good having cheek if you dont use it.  So on that happy note Im off to change the quilt

Bye everyone have a good day Jan xx

Green is supposed to be a restful colour, I like it. I have the walls in my lounge painted a very pale mint green. Glad the tatooist gave you some money off for your cheek!! Have a good day, Jeannette.

My mum always used to say that green was an unlucky colour, now I could never buy a green car or have a green front door but love green in furnishings or clothes. Lol at you getting a tattoo

Yes, I am thinking about getting the winter quilt out as well. Very early, usually do it at the end of October but I was cold in bed last night.  You devil, a shamrock tattoo.  I always wanted one but never had the nerve.  I quite like green but then I was born and spent my early years in Wales surrounded by the beautiful hills.  I have always been more of a country girl and it is a shame I ended up living in a highly built up area.

I love green there are so many different shades, like you know my bathroom is also green, and when we lived at the other house our conservatory had green painted walls, I think its such a restful colour. Anyway thats enough about green!!!I might change my duvet for the winter weight, being your little sister I have to copy and follow your lead.......Love Jeanxxxxx

Ooh, the cord material sounds lovely, what are you going to make with it?  Green isn't a colour I use very often, being a lover of reds and pinks, but I do like that deep bottle green colour :o)  I love that you had a tattoo at sixty, lol, and well done for getting the price knocked down with your cheek!!

That`s it.....I`m decided now...I`m going to change mine too.  I was quite chilly last night but didn`t want the winter weight quilt just yet.  Well, that`s all changed after reading your journal today....lol! :-)

At one time I thought green was unlucky...........I've since grown up and I like to write with a green pen and have lots of different greens about, I like green now, funny ain't it.  The material sounds great, I like cord it has a luxurious but not over the top feel to it. xxRache

Wow, it still feels strange to hear people turing on the heat and getting out winter clothes. Where I live it is still in the 90's!

Today was the first really comfortable day we have had, since it has been in the 90's.   Yesterday was in the mid 80's.  Today it was perfect 75 degrees and sunny.  Green is a restfull and relaxing color.    mark
