Sorry its a' link to entry 'posting again ,because its wide !!
I hope everyone is having a good day ,the weather here is extremely pleasant ,its not too hot ,but warm enough to shed the old cardi'We went into Huntingdon yesterday, which was nice I bought a couple of nice knitting patterns ,wouldnt allow myself to buy the wool ,until the present project is complete ! as we passed by the market ,we heard the vendor calling 'Strawberrys ! two punnets £1.80p'....Hmm we'll get some on the way back ,we did! by then it was two punnetts a £1 ! After tea ,Glen came round we had a companiable evening chatting ,and enjoyed a big bowl of strawberrys and cream .....Glen was watching me dragging my new mouse around ,it was never really a success , I've got a wireless controlled one I dont use he said ,shall we try it ,well he did and its excellent .....
When I was a young girl,I suppose about twelve, maybe even younger ,I sang in the church choir ,so went on the choir outing to Skegness in Lincolnshire each year ,Skegness is a seaside town ,how grown up we felt, going on a bus trip without our parents ,on the way there we would invariably stop at Boston ,and go and visit the church , its known as the Boston stump ,and from the the tower you can see for miles especially on a clear day ,and we would climb the steps inside the tower and then walk around the out side ,viewing the country side for miles.Thinking back it was a big adventure ,but I couldnt do it now if my life depended on it !
I scanned this from a book Jean ,or rather Pete lent me , 'MiniStorys from the fens',I told her she couldnt have it back yet as there are some items I'd like to share with you ,and she agreed....well I think its time a made another coffee for me ,tea for Maurice, and take them and my knitting into the garden ,I hope you are all having an equally relaxing day ,With Love From

Good to hear you had a nice day over in Huntingdon. Be careful your wireless mouse doesn't run away - or gets eaten by any roving cats LOL. Have a nice Sunday
What a great bargain with the strawberries they are still £1-69 per punnet up here but a re very good too. Passed the signs for Boston often but never been maybe some year. Been sitting out this morning after our walk but its a bit blowy so we have had to come in maybe later on if the sun comes out again. LOve Joan
I love my wireless optical mouse, so much easier than those balled mice! That tower looks lovely, I'd love to see the view from there! The strawberries were a bargain, lucky you waited and went back later! I used to love school outings except for the fact my mum always made me wear those Clarks sandals.....red ones with a daisy cut out! How I hated them! Lol! Have a lovely Sunday, it's all grey and dismal here today! Jeannette xx
Glad you had a nice day in Huntingdon and picked up a couple of Knitting patterns ~ glad you waited till you returned to buy those strawberries that was a good reduction in price~ The outing to Skegness and the visit to the church climbing all those steps inside the tower must have been well worth it to get such a lovely view ~ does the church still have 25 Bells ~ enjoyed the write up under the picture ~ Ally
hi Jan...
love the welcome graphic...I was the same, as soon as I got a new pattern I had to start it straight away, I was hooked...lol
that church tower looks very high up and to think you climbed that!

Hi Jan, I can almost taste those strawberries, which reminds me I have some downstairs that I`m going to eat right now! You certainly got them at a great price too. I`ve never been to Boston but have been told really good things about it from friends who live there. I`d love to climb the church tower, even though my knees might object a bit! We have some lovely churches in this country. :o)

Those strawberriesand cream sounds good. I would never make it to the top of that tower. Maybe by an elevator. LOL. Helen
Hiya, have had a wireless optical mouse for ages now and I would not be without it!!! I hate using the conventional sort at work cos I get all tangled up, LOL!!! Mmmmm strawberries and cream, got some in the fridge but I think they may have gone off as they were bought for Rob and he has not had them.......I had raspberries instead!

School outings were always a treat that's for sure.
I have a wireless mouse and it's great but make sure you have a couple of batteries always at the ready because it's infuriating when it packs up and you haven't got any. (Learned that from experience.) B. x
Your day sounds so nice. I can understand why you wouldn't want to scale those steps again after looking at the picture! My poor knees couldn't take it! What patterns did you buy? What are you going to knit next? After hearing about your wireless mouse I may look into getting one. My mouse cord is always getting caught in something. Kathy
I just bought a wireless optical mouse today. I actually love it. We go through those mice so often. Usually about every six months, the ball falls out. I was pulling my hair out trying to navigate. Strawberries and cream sounds yummy...xxx Chris
Jan,
Glad your having a lovely weekend! :)

Hi Jan that was a bargain two punnets for £1 ,I love strawberries. We keep saying we'll go and "pick your own" at Chesterton, not that it works out cheaper but you can eat loads while you're there!!! That was kind of Glen to give you another mouse I know I like mine ,much better than the old one.Boston Stump looks so high like you said couldn't climb it now , would be scared of the height. But I'm sure it was a great view.Relaxing in the garden in the sunshine sounded nice.......Love Jeanxx
Sounds like you're having a lovely weekend. I love strawberries...what a bargain!
Hugs,
What a bargain, Jan! I love strawberries and ice-cream... yum! I had an optical wireless mouse for Christmas and I couldn't get on with mine ~ I quickly swapped it back to my old one as it was bulky! Sounds as if you had a good weekend. xx
