The sun has got his Hat on!

Good morning and the sun is  shining today.......nice clear blue sky's and the swallows are flying high ,in fact I have been watching them ,they are building a nest in the eaves of the house opposite.

We have a few busy days planned, starting this afternoon,Allan next door, does a similar job to Maurice and since they are both off together today ,we are going to join Allan and Ally (Alison)and of course Glen for a barby ,in the garden ....tomorrow I told you I'm off to the over sixties club ,then Thursday we will go and buy our water feature.......

Sadly a resident has died at the scheme I worked/lived at  at ,I think he was ninety four, certainly ninety three any way ,we had a party when he was ninety...seems ages ago ,he was such a lovely gentleman ,Maurice was fond of him too .Walter always asked after Maurice saying 'hows the boss ?' ,so on Monday we will go to his service to show our respect and say farewell,to a lovely chap.....

And then a week on Saturday ,My sister Jean and her husband Pete ,Maurice and I have been invited to Northampton Rugby club, where my cousin Alan is to celebrate his seventieth birthday ,starting at midday ,so we will have lots of time to chat to family before coming home early evening ,meanwhile Jean and I can have fun discussing what we will wear, like a couple of teenagers, that we really are ?

Meanwhile, when I have finished this entry ,We are off to get some bait ,because when I go to the club tomorrow,Maurice plans to have day fishing......So on that happy note I will leave you to enjoy the sunshine,if indeed you have some where you are ....With Love From....

It's sunny here too!  Sounds like you have a really busy week ahead of you - full of fun.  It's never easy to lose a resident, is it?  You're told not to become too emotionally attached....but it doesn't work that way.
Hugs,

Well, you sound as busy as we have been except that our efforts have been confined to the gardens.  Sorry about that gentleman passing away and so nice you will be attending his service.

Hi Jan,

I`m sorry to here that one of your residents has died, it must be very sad for you.   You do sound as though you are going to be busy the next couple of days at least, then of course you have your cousin`s party.  You have a great social life.  I hope Maurice has a good day`s  fishing. Jim likes to go at this time of the year because he can get a sun tan at the same time...lol! :o)

So sorry to hear about your gentleman friend's passing.  So sad and yet 93 is a wonderful life span!  Hope your husband does well on his fishing adventure tomorrow and that you have fun with your club.  Isn't if fun to talk about what to wear to a special event with a friend?  It does make you feel 16 all over again!  We never outgrow our love for clothes and sharing our excitement with our girlfriends.    Kathy
