P.O.E.T.S. Day !

Yes  blue jeans ,means no white shirts, which means no ironing ...Maurice has gone to work tonight and is off then  until next Tueday evening ,so we get a whole week end together ,the weather man,is promising better weather for the next few days ,although I have been wearing some of the skirts you might remember,I made last year ,with tee shirts ,I have needed a cardigan , summer came and it went ,so I shall be pleased if it got a little bit warmer ,we have had no rain though ,quite often its looked cloudy ,but alas no rain so I have had to continue to water the garden ....

Oh if you have read this far and this entry is wide ,scroll down to the bottom of this entry ,and click onto "Link to this entry "....it will take you back to the beggining, but at least you can read without getting what Joan calls 'tennis neck '! Joe from Magic smoke is explaining why this happens ,something to do with pictures being too wide or the text ,is wrong ! I have to go back and digest just what he is saying ...talking of digesting ,Cadburys are having to recall some brands of their chocolate ,due to where some of it is made ,has had a leak in a water pipe that is infected with salmonella ,this is as a  precaution  only  I understand. So I suppose the  big bar of Galaxy ,I bought today, and planned to nibble on tonight ,will be ok,as I curl up with my knitting and watch Taggart ,the Taggert is a repeat but prefarable to football,Oh  and I might as  well'fess' up to buying a packet of Wagon wheels too ,but they cant be fattening either ,because they are so much smaller than they used to be or is that my imagination?....So have a good week end every one with love from

                                          Donna I love this siggy.

Love the graphics...especially Betty Boop.  (She's so cute)  I'm in blue jeans today since it's my day off.  We used to be able to wear them to work, as long as we didn't go over to the main hospital building.  (I'm in a building about 4 blocks away) but not anymore.  Although we can wear colored jeans, like black, navy, brown, etc.  just not denim colored. I did notice however that my supervisor showed up in blue jeans yesterday, but then she talks on her cell phone all day too.  The rules are different for her.  Linda in sunny & warm Washington

Hi Jan,

It`s been a lovely sunny day and so much warmer again.  Let`s hope for more of the same without the humidity we had in the last heat wave.  All this carting watering cans around is stretching my arms so much I`m starting to resemble an ape...lol!  Some overnight rain would be nice. :o)  mmm....Galaxy, so much nicer than Cadburys even without the salmonella!  I hope you and Maurice have a great weekend. :o)

Nice entry Jan. My sentiments exactly, when temptation comes along, you give right in. You can actually alter the width of your graphics. If you click the "Text" dropdown box and choose "HTML" somewhere near your graphic, you'll see the HTML-code that brings up your image. It'll look like <img src or whatever. After the http-link insert the code "width 800", which should limit the width to about 2/3 of the page. Give it a try - let me know how you get on.

It's been decidedly chilly just lately hasn't it?! I think it was that our hands were smaller when we had wagon wheels in the old days. They used to look ginormous didn't they?! I hope the weather's nice for you so you and Maurice can get out and get some sun! Have a lovely weekend. Jeannette xx

Hi Jan, It's funny you mentioning wagon wheels because we have some in the cupboard, hidden away from me, but I had to run down and see if they are smaller, and they are! I used to love them as a girl! still would, but once I start.....
Have a lovely Sunday

Wagon wheels?  Darned if I know what those are...  and Galaxy? That must be a big bar of chocolate, right?
It's so funny sometimes when I ready all my English friend's journals, and they throw words in that I totally have never heard of.  Most I can figure out, but others.. leave me clueless.

But.. it's always interesting!  :)

LOL..Jan, I'm sure there must be one graphic you have used in one of your entries that is too big and has extended the margins of your journal.  That happens to me off and on.  We are having no summer here either but much rain is falling.  Enjoy your nibbling.  HUGS  Chris

Hi Jan,
I think I will avoid graphics, because I wouldn't know what to do if my screen went too wide!!! (LOL). Heard about Cadbury recalling chocolate bars and easter eggs!!! It is a bit late to do that!! ... after the horse has bolted and all that.
