Catching up ....a bit

As Donnas lovely graphic says ....A Very Happy New Year Everyone .

I am sorry I havent posted for simply ages ,the truth is I have had a few down days ,but I think many have experianced that ,It is a particularly emotive time of year ,dont you think ? I will attempt to catch up with the help of pictures ...

Here I am ,at the Christmas lunch, I went to with members of the residents forum ,Margaret and I have been friends for many years ...

I found another shop  window ,this one depicts ,Three French Hens ...

On Christmas Day ,because Maurice was working I went to my son Mark and his wife Chrissie ....

And of course their dog Blue who is so gentle ,(as there wasnt many folks around Maurice took Kizzie work with him )

Here is a picture of my sister Jean wearing the jumper and beads we got for her ....

and Kizzie opened her own presents ...

Then on Boxing day Charlotte (my Grandaughter ) came to stay ..

And I  couldnt get onto  the computer ! .......

Kizzie enjoyed Charlottes company .....

Last night ,Maurice and I went to a party with members of our Family ,to celebrate the New Year ...

Jean and I with Maisy ,Jeans Grand daughter....

And with Gary,my nephew and Maisys Daddy ....

As you can see we had a lovely time ,Sorry I have been absent for so long ,New Years Resolution to get caught up ,Awonderful 2008 to you all ...with love from

Thanks to my Dear friend Debbie for my siggy

Happy new year Jan.  The photos are lovely and your sister is so like you.  Love that Kizzy, getting even cuter every time.  Sorry to hear you have been down.  I know what you mean about it being an emotional time.  I found an old letter from one of my dear sisters today and then boo hooed for a while.  Hope you feel more up now after getting together with your lovely family.  I suppose we have to count our blessings and enjoy the now.  Hugs, Tells x

So glad to see you out and about again...I thought that maybe the time of the year was getting to you !!  What a lovely girl Charlotte looks. Bet she enjoyed her visit to Granma....Your New Years night out looks as if it was a good one.  Mary and I just sat here having a drink or two !  rum and coke..then at midnight, back door open to let in the new year, front door open to let old year out..the a phone call to my sisters and a bit later Jacqueline my beloved niece rang from Worcester...and so to bed.  I am sure I was in bed almost sooner than Mary got into her house !! ( Not really I always check to see she is home safely)  Wishing you and all those you love a great 2008 full of wonderful happy healthy days.  Love Sybil xx

Dear Jan,

Sorry to hear you have been feeling down lately.  I think we all feel a bit emotional at this time of year.  However, it is good to have you back with us in J-Land.

Thank you for sharing the pictures taken over the Christmas period.  Sometimes, pictures are all you need to tell a story.  As I was looking through, I couldn't help notice how clear the picture was on your T.V.

Happy New Year to you, Maurice and Kizzie.  May the be full of wonderful for you all.

And a very Happy New Year to you too, Jan.
I felt unusually low, I think it was the aftermath of a pre-Christmas bug.  No excuse really, as we were all together and everything went well.
Hope 2008 sees you back to your old self.

Wonderful photos Jan, loved them all.  Charlotte is as pretty as she is nice but both your grand-daughters are lovely.  Yes, this is a depressing time of year.  Never used to be like that when we were young but the Christmas/new Year period is not the same anymore.  Maybe it comes with age.  Anyway, have a wonderful 2008 and thanks for sharing the photos.

I was wondering where you had gotten to Jan.  I think we all have down moments from time to time.  Especially at this time of year.  It's important not to dwell too much on the past though but to look forward to a new and fresh beginning.  (((hugs))))  Looking forward to a new year of your writings and the journey.  Loved all the photographs!  You are so blessed to have so many family members living so close to you!  I would give anything to have that!  :-)
Hope that you have a wonderful 2008 chock full of blessings and goodness.

Happy New Year Jan, Maurice & Kizzie!

Hope the New Year brings lots of 'up' days!

Kizzie looks so cute, her ears are amazing - I bet she would do well in TV ads!  I'm going to be a grandma for the 2nd time in the next few days and I do believe 'it' is going to have the same name as your sweet little dog :-)

all the best

I know exactly how you feel, Jan... I've been absent from my journal more than I've been around.  I just get into a slump sometimes, and lose my muse.  I've made a resolution to journal more often too, but I doubt I will stick with it! lol  I'm so bad about that!
Thanks for sharing the pictures, I really enjoyed seeing them.  You look lovely.. as always!

Hugs and love

You're a stylish lady Jan :) I love your outfit with the satin sash.  Kizzie's ears tickle me, they're brilliant, just looking at her gives a warm glow.  You've a lovely family, and even though you've been below par healthwise, I'm glad you all had a memorable time. Hope those minus moods go west this year and leave just the good ones. Rache
