Third time lucky !

Good afternoon every one ,this is not the entry I had planned for today, However here goes AGAIN !!    Maurice went off to work at five thirty this morning, by six o clock I knew I wasnt going to get off to sleep again so up I got ,I made my self a coffee ,and settled down to read my alerts for your entrys,I saw Kate was on line so I chatted to her via MSN  for a while ,she said Sam had ,had a great time but was absolutely worn out so thats a good indication he'd enjoyed himself ...On Thursday Maurice and I went to Ely ,and had a really lovely day ,we went to visit the Cathedral there I took lots of pictures,

Well I  started the entry ,as you do ,Found an opening graphic etc ,I clicked to add pictures ,selected about sixty I suppose ,,they started to load and got stuck on twelve !!,no way was it going to budge ! Ugh ! made myself another cup of coffee, had a ciggy..as you do ! and started again ...I added the opening graphic put in the title and mood ?added my pictures, looking good ,I added the subtitles ,and guess what the whole lot cut out on me again !! Afew Anglo Saxon Expletives were used ........

I now  set off to the town ,with trusty trolley ,and ,bought lots of lovely farm fresh fruit and veg from the market stall  the one redeeming factor of the day ,I have bought a French Lavendar I have been seaching for ,called Papallion, from the plant and flower stall ,called in at Somerfields ,then the bakers and the postoffice ,and home ,with a full trolley load ,I had stripped the bed before I left so I pegged out the washing ,before vacuaming everywhere and then washing all the laminate flooring ,and skirting boards,I'd like to say AOL did me a favour ,I'm sure I worked better because I was cross , but it  is soul destroying  when you do a long entry and lose it ,to say nothing of the time it takes ....

I did take time out to sit with my book and a sandwich in the sun ,see top picture .I will however try again tomorrow ,with the Ely pictures ,So as Maurice will soon be home I will stop now and prepare some dinner ,Have  Lovely Saturday Evening Everyone

With Love and       Jan xx

Hi there Jan, I love that old antique sewing machine graphic! My friend Bob has three Singer Featherweights that belonged to his mom. They are old and black and look similiar. Isn't it amazing how much we can get done when something has really upset us?  It's all the adrenalin rushing around in our body.  Have a lovely Saturday evening,  Linda in WA

Hi Jan,  How really infuriating for you.  I`m sure you`ll manage to get the photos to load tomorrow , I`m looking forward to seeing them.  I`ll bet you flew around with your mop and vacuum cleaner, I know I would have...grrr!  Your bistro set is very similar to ours but I think you have four chairs, it was an inspired buy.   Have a nice evening. :o)

Hi Jan,

That's happened to me before too!! I wrote this loooong entry, talking about some pretty deep and meaningful stuff, but the whole thing vanished when I pressed 'send'...I was livid as it had taken me hours!!

I wrote it out again, but it's never the same second time around is it? Grrr!

Love your entries luv,

AOHell at its worst, isn't it Jan. I so distrust AOL that I select & copy any important text before I click Save. I usually try several roundabout ways to add pictures, if it all conks out.

I must be lucky as I haven't had too many problems with AOL (hope I haven't spoken too soon). I like French lavender, we have some in the garden - somewhere.
I like the pic but, you know, if you were to move the table and chairs you'd have room for another shed. Just a thought, lol. B. x

AOL can be so frustrating when you're trying to update.  I'm glad it finally worked for you, and I look forward to seeing the pictures AOL ate at a later date.

That happened to me the other day. It just stopped loading the pictures and wouldn't do anything else! I'm glad you managed to get some work done instead! I'm looking forward to your pics of Ely when AOL seem fit to load them! Jeannette xx

Well I'm glad you made it with your entry in the end! It's definitely very frustrating (to say the least) when you've done all that work and everything freezes! Have a good w/e.

How FRUSTRATING to have your hard work lost!  Arrrr........  I will look forward to seeing your pictures when you are able to post them.  Your little garden table looks so nice!  I can imagine having tea out there while visiting with a good friend or reading a book.  So peaceful!  Hope you have better luck posting on Sunday!   Love,  Kathy

I know what you mean about getting annoyed when the journal you are working on seems to have a mind of it's own.  I seem to be having the same problems too and there is much regularity of late.

Before I retired from work, I used to work out 'How To.' step by step sheets, you know the type of thing where you follow simple instructions in stages. for any computer usage problems that came up for teaching staff and for students.

Of course, now that I no longer need to do that, I have found that I have started to lag behind and I have to say that I do not know how to get the simple answers to the problems we encounter.

I hate to read through pages of information only to find that what you have just read is often not relevant to your needs.

At the moment, as you may have guessed, I am steering away from entering pictures to my journal and sticking to text only.

I know it is boring to the reader but, for the time being that is about all I can muster.

By for now,

John.

Hi Jan,how awful that you did all the work on your journal for AOL to cut you off!!!Mind it did do good that you were able to catch up on some housework and you will be pleased with yourself as it says its going to get hotter Monday and Tuesday ,too hot for chores!!!Glad you were able to get a french lavendar plant,I saw some advertised at Aldi so I thought I would get one for you only to find when we got there they were all sold.Pleased you had a chat with Kate and Sam had a good b/day and time away with school.Your trolley certainly comes in handy ,loaded I bet with all your goodies.I went once to Ely Catheral with Joan Judy and Clive ,so looking forward to seeing your photos,Have a nice day .........Love Jeanxx

AOL has been causing me to become a "potty" mouth lately.  Drives me totally insane.  I also chat with my daughter, Becky.  She lives on her own now.  As soon as I sign on, up pops my IM.  She finally loves her mum...lol  Have a good one.  HUGS  Chris
