The tenants open day

Thankyou for this lovely peaceful scene Donna, it could have been at Ferry Meadows where we went on Saturday .I woke up when Maurice came in from work ,he offered to take me back to Peterborough ,but I said no ,it was yet another lovely day,so off I went on the bus,he was working that night anyway so needed his sleep .its difficult enough in this heat ,in the day !Pete picked me up from the bus ,took me to their house ,picked up Dan and Maisy(their Grandchilren who had stayed over night ) and Jean .Pete dropped Jean and I off at Ferry Meadows ,before taking the children home ,Jean and I had a lovely time ,chatting to tenants and staff who were all pleased to see us ,we went into the Sealed knot encampment and chatted to the members who were a wealth of information ,Im not going into detail I think the pictures tell the story ,we had a lovely time we both bought a necklace and bracelet from the jewellery stall, about one thirty we decided we had seen it all ,so rang Pete who collected us ,and we went back to Jeans bungalow ,and had some lunch in the gazebo ,in their lovely garden ,we left Pete to watch the football .and went to a shopping precinct nearby,I bought a passion flower plant ,and Jean bought a standard rose she had been looking at for a few days !Igot a new pair of flip flops ,we met my daughter Sharon ,who was buying football hats, she called me Emelda !Sharon had to rush off, Cauliflowers were two for a pound great big things ,and strawberrys ,one twenty for two punnets ,we bought them and shared.... Jean and I browsed together it was lovely  ,lots of sisterly chat ,great !We called in at Jeans daughter, Joannes house ,and found Jo, her friend and the two little girls Rachel and Emma in the pool ,we had a paddle and a cool drink before going back to Jeans ,house where Pete was watching the last of the match ,Pete and Jean brought me home as Maurice was now at work ,so We all had a lovely day .......with lots of love

Still wearing my fip flops Sandra xxxx

Owl?, I thought to myself.. is that what they call them across the pond.  Then I enlarged the picture and in fact there was an owl.  LOL  I hope she doesn't sneeze or laugh or she will be out of that dress in a heartbeat.  Thanks for sharing

Hi Jan,  Thanks for the comment on my journal today, it`s nice to be back in the swing of things again!  Look at you and Jean with the hunky firemen, I suppose it`s the uniform...lol!  I love the skirt, great colours and the sort of thing I would wear.  I`m glad you both had a good day out and didn`t get overheated. :o)

What a fun festival!  I would enjoy going to something like that someday.  Your skirt is so nice!  You look great in green!  The firemen look good, too.  LOL  I had a hard time finding the owl in the picture at first.  There were two other things in the shot that sort of blinded me at first.  LOL  When I did see it I thought it was quite beautiful.  Thanks for sharing the pictures!!!  Kathy

Looks like you all had a great day. I'll remember to call Jean if I want to load my cannon! I know how Maurice feels trying to sleep in the heat, I worked nights for three years and hardly slept at all! Your skirt looks lovely, I wear those type too! Have a lovely week. Jeannette xx
