Should old aquaintance be forgot ...

I am hopelessly behind ,with the contents of my Dash board ,over the last two days ,what ever page I tried to open ,I got the message, page cannot be found ! Then after numerous attempts this morning.......it is now afternoon ,so we are well into the first day of 2009 ....I managed to find my blog ,and seem (touch wood and a good back wind )to be back on course ! Did you stay up to see in the New Year ? We did ,though we stuggled hee hee ! Maurice had a good excuse he had been to work from six till six ,but had a nap when he came in ,We had phone calls from the family last night and this morning ,and made some too ,Maurice is off now till Sunday ,we will probably go out tomorrow but today we will just chill out at home ,Chill, being the operative word here, it is very cold out .

We watched the fireworks on the TV ,from the London Eye ,what an amazing sight ,there were also some pretty amazing firewords around here at midnight ,Maurice watched them from the garden along with Glen our neighbour ,I couldnt go out with them I had a petrified little dog cuddled up to me ,poor Kizzie she hates fire works
I would like to wish all my Family and Friends near and Far ,A Happy Healthy Good New Year Maurice joins me in those wishes to you .....So as ever lots of love from

And a Very Happy New Year to you, Jan, Maurice, and Kizzie!
My daughter had to spend part of last night on the sofa with two terrified terriers. These otherwise spunky little dogs do not like bangs.
Me? I was in bed by 8 o/c, with 2 hot water bottles. Looking at the TV schedules I think I shall be doing the same tonight. Brrr.

Hi Jan, happy new year to you, Maurice and Kizzie! It's such a shame when animals are frightened by fireworks, I don't have that trouble with my cats ~ they love them! It's freezing here too, or below freezing! Brrrr! Jeannette xx Happy New Year

Hi Jan, A very Happy new Year to you both. Danny and Salina went to London and they said the fireworks were wonderful but the crowds there were horrendous. It took them nearly 3 hours to get out of London. We were happy to have a quiet night in. :o)

Love Sandra xxxx

Libby and I fought sleep all night watching the New Years celebration shows. By Mid Night and the fireworks all we wanted to do was close our eyes. Oh well that is the fate of getting old. Our wish to you is a safe, healthy, and very happy 2009.
Regards, Bill and Libby

Hi there, just to let you know that we have arrived safely back from London, had a brill time, Oliver at Drury Lane was fab and I would certainly recommend going to see it. The dinner/dance at the hotel last night was unreal and we were lucky enough to watch the fireworks etc in London from the comfort (and warmth) of our hotel. It was truly spectacular and an amazing experience I will never forget. Love you this new year and always. Kate x x

Glad you had a good start in the new year, Jan. I'm still thinking about your handmade gifts. I think they are really fab. Ever thought of opening an Internet shop and sell them? I'd be your first customer. All the best. Ciao. Antonella

Happy New Year Jan! I hope it's the best ever for you and Maurice and filled with lots of joy and blessings and good health for you both! Poor Kizzie. Our Jess hates fireworks as well. We always stay home with her on fireworks nights so she 's not on her own.

Happy New Year, Jan. Hope you and Maurice have a wonderful 2009.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun on NYE. It was quiet here. I think we were in bed by 11:15. Our rowdy neighbors woke us up at midnight with their screaming and fire works. I'm getting old. I just rolled over and went back to sleep. LOL

Take care!

Hugs, Kathy

Hello Jan and Maurice, Thought that you shoould know that for my breakfast this morning I had what I believe to be a British breakfast. Libby and I made baked beans in tomato sauce with sausage and put it on toast. I'm told that the Beans in tomatoe sauce that you get from Heinz are not the same as our but, don't know for sure. I did like what I had.
My Regards, Bill
