Imagine my delight ,last Friday when I went up to town ,and discovered a lot of the shop windows were telling me a story ,a favourite one with us all ,Cinderella,I started of passing the antique shop ,(I wish I was a better photographer) but Im sure you will enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed looking into these shop windows....
Below is the vets
now the bakers
The accountants
Good old Lavender Blue, never lets us down !
The Childrens clothes shop
And the dress agency(love this shop I often go in here ! )
With a real glass slipper ! see it ?
How lovely, they all lived happily ever after , I hope you enjoyed our walk around the shops ? as much as I did ,have a lovely day ....with love
Do you know Jan...I really enjoyed that walk around your village shops. Isn't it wonderful that they all join in the festive spirit. Just magical! I loved the glass slipper too. A wonderful theme as well. Thanks for sharing with us all. Love 'n hugs Jeanie xxx
When i was a girl my mum used to take us round to the little village next to ours, it had a butchers, bakers, flower shop, a bank, and they used to put tiny christmas trees on top of the doorways and have 1 large one in the street, the florist always dressed their window according to the season, now sadly its all take aways and empty units, its a shame, thats all you need, some good old fasioned christmas displays, not a laser light show with fluff and sparkles all over!! take care xx
That was a lovely trip through the fairy tale world. What a marvellous idea!!! As much as I like the Xmas lights, I think this absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing, Jan. Ciao. Antonella
Thank you for sharing your shop windows. How pleasant it must be to browse there. I noticed the little mice in one picture and they looked so real. It's so nice they all go together with a theme. 'On Ya'-ma
OMG that is sooooo nice that they all do that! My favorite was the one with the REAL glass slipper! I sure wish I could have seen that. Thank you for sharing it with us Jan. Love, Pam
Hi Jan, loved seeing all the photos in the shop windows of Cinderella, its great they all join in .I have been in school this morning in reception class, doing a christmas work shop ,decorating cards etc with lots of glitter and glue......love you ...Jeanxxx
Did you know that in the original french story the slipper was fur but it got lost in translation to glass...I really can't imagine a fur slipper at all...The windows are fab :o) Hope your christmas pressie making is coming on good xxx
Oh, how pretty! If we had such beautifully decorated shop windows, I would certainly be in the Christmas spirit. There is a small town about an hour north of here that does have beautiful shops and windows. It's been a few years since I've been there. Not many towns in the states left that are like that. Thanks for sharing, Jan...lovely! xx
How wonderful that all your shops got together and did this! I really enjoyed seeing the pictures and reading about them. Well done Jan! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Hello! Jan,Great theme in the shops, and nice that they take the time to do this.Wonder if 'Cinderalla' was a competition...for the best dressed window? Aileen....X
