Im still here !!

Thankyou for this lovely graphic Chris,A big bowl of for-get me-nots ..delightful .

Well here I am again after ,I dont know how many days absence,no reason really ,its just, one day follows another ,and by the time Ive  answered the alerts to your emails ,more time has gone and realise I should be doing some housework ,or since the weather has been so lovely I have been pottering in the garden,I went to the over sixties club today ,and we were entertained by a gentleman playing his guitar and singing all the old songs ,and of course we sang along with him ,remember I told you the first record I bought was Pat Boone singing Love Letters in the Sand ,well he sang that ,and Singing the blues !  OO Tommy Steele sang that ,and many more from my teen years .

Maurice has gone off to work (the first of three nights),after he'd gone I gave Jeannette(jottings) a ring ,she went for the first of her treatments today ,she has to have twenty three in all,so thats twenty two to go ,taking her up till the first of June ,she is finding it very difficult ,the treatment it self is bad enough ,but as you know she suffers quite badly from agoraphobia, making this even more of an ordeal ,and she had a devastating experiance at the weekend so the shock of that sent her blood sugar  sky high ,I told her I was so proud of her managing to go  today ,I can emphathize with her to a certain extent ,when Mick died I coped so well for about eighteen months ,well I had to ,I had four teenage children ,then wham it all hit me and I went to pieces ,not wanting to go out ,not wanting to eat etc ,so yes I know abit of how she feels ,so I am asking you to join me ,in praying for her ,of course I know you will .......Go for it Jeannette ,in the words of the lovely song ,''One day at a time sweet Jesus ''

To the side of our Bungalow ,is a patch of garden, long and narrow ,We have decided to turn it into a wild garden ,there are already some poppys and some pretty yellow flowers and lots of other stuff ,I have a packet of wild seeds, and am quite excited about the project ,I will of course keep you posted .so on that note I will take my leave (I now have 21 alerts )this journaling  business is like painting the Forth Bridge !

With lots of love

Jeannette's radiotherapy treatments are in my mind Jan.  I will still be praying for her good health throughout her daily visits.  She's been in my prayer's for a while now.  I'm looking forward to seeing your wildflower garden.  As you know that's one of my hobbies.  Keep us posted once you take some photos of what pops its little head out in your side garden.
You can't beat a good old sing song Jan.  I wish I had been with you when your gentleman called at the sixties club to entertain you.  I was singing along to music this morning.  Its good for the lungs....Lol!  Hugs Jeanie

I had an idea Jan that one of the reasons would be alerts.Yes I agree they do take some time, and also yes we have to do our little bit of domestic engineering in between LOL!! I am so sorry for Jeannette it is such a shame.I know how she feels re:- the agraphobia I have suffered it myself and you have had to have been there to know just what it's like. Not pleasant at all.You too must have had it hard at the time you mention. The singing session sounds like you had fun,and the song "Sweet Jesus"I love.which you have mentioned.Good luck with the wild flower garden sounds lovely my last neighbour who was originally from down south had a wild flower garden it was beautiful,so with mine also we had the best of both worlds living next door to one another.Missed you Take Care God Bless Prayers being said thousandfold for Jeannetete and all others in J/Land and around the world who are ill.Kath

Jan, I am so glad that Jeannette started her treatments.  I know it had to be the hardest thing in the world to do.  What a horrific time she had with that journal.  Shame on the person who did this to her.  Please send her my love if you speak with her again.

I have a wildflower garden in front.  It was quite lovely for the first couple of years but sadly, it is getting very wild...lol.  I need to revamp it this year.  Can't wait to see yours.  Have a lovely rest of the week.  Love xx Chris

Hello Jan,

I know what you mean about pottering in the garden, this weather has dragged me outside after work for the last few weeks and my journal has suffered as a result. Today I didn`t come in until 6pm and I`d lost complete track of time.  I`ve been thinking about Jeannette too and I`m so glad that she got through today ok, it must have been such an ordeal for her. As you say ` One day at a time....`

Love Sandra xxxx

All this sushine, no wonder you don't want to sit at your computer. I love Tommy Steele, took Reet to see him in Scrooge for her 50th, he's still smiling.
Good luck to Jeanette.

It sounds like you had a nice time at the club listening to the man sing and play the guitar.  I'm glad jeanette made it to her first treatment, let's hope she is able to make it to them all.  We'll be keeping her in our thoughts.  Your wild garden sounds like a fun project.

I'm so glad you spoke to Jeannette.  I was quite upset when she said she was stopping her journal. I hope she decides to continue. And you too!  What are you doing not posting an entry for this long?? I missed you!  I saw that you were commenting, so I knew you were ok.
Glad you had a good time at your club. Don't wait so long to let us know what you and Kizzie are up to.

I do love each and every entry and catching up on your life with Maurice!  I wish you would write more often, but beggars cant' be choosers so I am just grateful for your words when you do manage to pen them!  My prayers continue for Jeanette.  What a terrible ordeal for her to have to go through.  You are such a dear friend to support her like you do.  Give her my love and thoughts the next time you chat.
love,

Yes good luck to Jeannette, we are all thinking about her.
Would liked to have sung along to those old songs too, Jan, brings back lovely memories of the 50's :-D
Glad that I'm not the only one being deliquent at the computer, as you say, once you've sorted through the emails, it's time to get on with some work, and I too, have spent most of my time in the garden.  Disappointed not to see poppies popping up all over the place, normally have some big double purple ones, and I don't mind where they sprout! Overcast today, will walk to library to get the books I ordered and have a good read - not bad being retired eh ;-)

I love the song One day at a time sweet Jesus. I am keeping Jeannette in my prayers. I met lots of breast cancer sufferers when I had both my mastectomies and that was in 1999 and 2000, all of them are still surviving...........Jules xxx

I feel so sorry for Jeannette, I know how hard it is for her to get out for her treatments then she had that awful trouble with her journal. We're all prayinbg for her to get through this.
