COUNTING DOWN STILL

I had an entirely different entry planned for today ,and then Donna posted this graphic and I went off in another direction ! maybe its an age thing !....anyway after talking my self out of cleaning the windows yesterday ,,and the blind being fitted ,I looked at this window ,Ugh the frame was mucky and there was a cobweb in the corner! so I got the Ken Dodd tickling stick thingy ,used to remove cobwebs ,such a shame after Mrs spider had done all that intricate lace work ,I washed the frame and window sill, then of course cleaned the window inside ,and because it was fine at that point I popped out and did the outside, and while I was there ,I did the lounge and bedroom ones too ,well they say its a ladys privelidge to change her mind ,'Lady'who's been spreading rumours about me ?and guess what ,as I sit here at the computer I  can see a garden out there !!! ....well whilst doing the bedroom and study window ,in my slippers I stood on the flower bed ,then paddled mud right through !So I washed the floor in the lounge /hall (laminate) and kitchen too all unsheduled, ah well thats life, variety being the spice off ! Pause for coffee..........and postman .

Oh Rachel you absolute darling ,its a copy of her late Dads book ,and shes signed it ,oh Bless you ! Frank Wrigley,(hence wrigleyRachey)get it ....wrote 'the boy from Willow End ',subtitled Growing up in the Fens in 1940,I've peeped and it looks fabulous ,he has even done his own illustrating ,I finished Janet Street Porters life last night ,perfect timing Rachel thankyou,Many of you know Rachel,I havent got her URL ready  but will post it next time ,Maurice will want to read this after me and then Pete ,Jeans husband ,who is also interested in the Fens (thinks, he might even have a copy )and then Jean of course,

What an interesting post today ,a lovely Easter card hand made by Jo my neice and Godaughter ,Jo, is Jeans lovely daughter, and a letter from some friends on holiday in Cornwall ,Jackie has sent me a picture of Cadgwith cove ,she knows I love that place .....oh and the other thing was a bank statement ,but since it didnt have 'oh dear'  (OD abrv) in the margin I guess we'er ok ! Time for another cup of coffee and a peep at my book ,Have a lovely day everyone ,Jan xxx

My windows get washed on the outside about once a year LOL...Am on 1st floor, can't get a window cleaner and they're awkward to clean on outside from inside...Apart from that as you know i have severe acrophobia and hanging there on a stepladder cleaning them TERRIFIES me <shudder>   Caff xxx

I have told the spiders that they are quite welcome in our house so long as they don't make cobwebs. Any that break the rules have to deal with the swat team. A bit harsh, I know, but rules is rules. ;O)
And going off the subject isn't anything to do with age Jan, it's called cobwebbing so it was perfectly apt for this entry.

I still say the cobweb making spiders are the male sort, they do it to give us work which is typical of the males, lol!! Join the club with the tickling stick...I have 2 - one for each hand, lol!! They are both pink, yellow and blue!

Hahhaahh amazing what can be seen through a cleaned window......my window cleaner cleaned mine the other day by mistake(he had only done them a few days before ) and he didn't even ring for payment which I thought was really good of him as after all I could see he was doing them and could have stopped him!! I left him to get on with it as a seagull had left its calling card...hate the things..loads of them here esp with the breeding time now.....Nicwe when the Postman leaves things other than bills. I love to get a hand written letter...very rarely do but when it happens its great!  Eve

Sorry mum for not being in touch today, was at the dentist at eight this morning, had to have tooth unfilled and they drilled a hole into my root to drain the abscess. What pain but what relief. Managed to get over that just in time to go off to the man about my back. Apparently i had damaged a disc and dislodged my farcet. (Yeah that means loads to me). Had to have manipulation, oh my god! What pain. Am now moving like a snail again and not allowed to do too much. Yeah right! Got to get better for martin's party on friday and his 40th birthday sunday, failing that, just admit defeat and not do either.  Love you both loads.
