A Buzzy Bee and a Puff Ball, really lovely! Thankyou Donna .Oh and Thankyou for telling me a hump day was ,the middle of the week ,makes sense really, bet you all knew that ,I had to ask !! On Monday it was such a lovely day,I put the books I had decided I could live without ,into my trolley ,to take to the charity shop ,and armed with my camera, off I set ,I stopped off at the Millenium wall on route to take some pictures, thinking if this gets pulled down the would be gone forever ,a lady pointed out the paintings had'nt been vandelised because, the school children had done some of them ! The old mill/barn ,we can see the top of from our lounge window is quite tall and a land mark,is converted into flats ,the river appears from the far side of it,you see at the turn of the last century 1900,a road was built over the road ,so we have a very wide main street ,where the original road was built over the river ,On my walk Ifound the other end where it starts to go under the road see picture sixteen .I took a picture of the 'Grand 'cinama, which is doomed to be pulled down soon ,It has been losing money for a lot of years now I'm told ,and before we moved here apparently ,a nudist club had film shows once a month ,in there, abit uncomfortable if you spilled your popcorn I would think! alas the cinama has to go ,to make room for houses /flats !
My next stop was the charity shop, where, whilst the lady was unloading the books ,I (naturaly! broused the rail )I found a nice peasant type blouse,in cream linen ,trimmed with some expensive looking lace ,was told thats new ,bought it ,saw the label inside was for medium to large ,well it never was ,more like small to medium ,anyway it fits well ,later on the news Maurice remarked Julie the weather girl was wearing something similar ,my reply ~yes but mines got sleeves to hide my old arms ,why did he laugh ?
When I got back Maurice and I had a drink ,him tea me coffee ,and he settled down to watch countdown,I dont watch that if I can help I dont like Carole Vorderman! I came through to the computer, and found an E-mail from Jeannette (jottings ) another new top , I had admired hers and as I said to her ,it fits a treat !I love it dont you? she has one just the same ,we may be doing a song and dance act soon ,watch this space!
Yesterdays comments ,Laine (my art world) asked me had I seen Deal or no Deal ,and that young newly wed girl win £7500,yes I did it was so exciting, that was a pools win dream years ago ,can you remember? 'I'm gonna spend spend spend Vivian Nicholson ,she did too didnt she ? commenting also was Kate my dear daughter ,telling more about Maddy ,just like those Russion dolls ....A journal within a journal !Thanks Kate love you too ! and always love your comments .Well I guess thats me up to date,so I'll go see whats on the box tonight ,Maurice has gone off to work ,so its just'me and our dug '!With lots of love
The graphics are of course by the clever Donna (not the tee shirt )She is in my side bar ,Her journal is always worth a visit. And for any lurchers out there leave a comment we all like a comment !

never ever heard of hump day!
What a lovely long entry..............
I bought a Mary Quant mac from a charity shop in Kettering a few years ago and the lady serving in the shop almost had a fit as she was soooo mad she hadn't seen it herself!! I still have the mac, it is one of those pac a mac things rolled up in its own bag...never used it though. The artwork on that wall is really good i can see why you want to have a record of it just in case! I don't like Carol Voderman either but I did watch todays Countdown and couldn't help wondering why she wore the dress she did....I thoght she looked silly. I LOVE the top..look forward to seeing the song and dance! Eve
Hi Jan, love the pics. But you have to tell me - what's an ant lurcher when it's at home? Am I one? Is it a good thing? These are the things that keep me awake at nights! ;O)

Oh boy, us doing a song and dance lol . Do you think we will be able to get our legs in the air? ROFL. If not at least the t-shirts will hide our old arms my dear. Very interesting entry and great graphics.

Hi Jan, LOL at the thought of the nudists at the cinema...the mind boggles...lol! ;o)
I love those murals, they explain so much in an easy way. Whoever make them are very talented. Lucky you for getting that top, sadly I would rather have sleeves these days, at least over my shoulders...ah, the joys of ageing...sob! :o(

That's a great wall painting, everyone has done a great job. Lol, wouldn't want to visit the cinema and sit on the seats after the nudists had been ;o)

The mural is great, very tasteful, I don't like graffitti you can't read!! You can find some nice stuff in charity shops, we have lots of them in Brighton. I remember Viv Nicholson, she won £100,000 didn't she, didn't bring her much happiness though did it? Jeannette. http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels.
Jan...thanks for visiting. Will be back to see you! :)
That mural wall is a labor of love. Very nice. My mother was born about that time in England. Loved seeing the other pictures around town as well. It fun to be able to see other countries buildings and scenes. Thanks. Dawn
Interesting to hear about where you live and the mural looks great Laine xxx

I agree I do not like Carole Vorderman I think I am jealous of her figure and good looks though!! I like Noel Edmonds and Deal or no Deal and Loose women too. The daytime TV is better than the evening rubbish! Love Conniex
HI Jan, I'm ashamed to say that I have never looked at those murals in detail - just looked at them from across the road. I wonder if they will go too? I remember the hoohah over the nudists using the cinema - I would be more concerned about them dropping their ice-cream - ouch!
I was in Huntingdon on Tuesday, popped into M&S and bought their pieces of battered chicken with a hot spicy sauce - really yummy!
Have a nice Sunday all!
