Spring has sprung ,the grass is riz!

Good Afternoon ,hope you are all well and in good spiriits ,Maurice went off to work last evening to do the last of this batch of nights ,he called in on the way to work to borrow a saw from Pete,Jeans husband .....When he got in to work he rang ,as he does to let me know he'd got there OK,and described to me ,part of his journey ,he encountered a 'Fen blow',when the wind whips up the soil ,and every thing appears cloudy .We certainly have had some high gusty winds ,lately ,The refuge collectors joined the strike yesterday ,but some folks still put out thier wheelie bins ,many of which blew over,so there is rubbish everywhere!

And then during the course of the evening the wind dropped ,and now we are having intermittant showers .So March came in like a lamb ,like I said (Caff didnt agree )going out like a lion, and the afore mentioned showersAre getting ready for April ,and Spring, Yhey ! will finally be here ,and then May my favourite month ,with all the lovely flowers The month my baby was born ,Kate !

Maurice came home this morning slept till lunch time is now watching Deal or No Deal !,but has been busy working on his fireplace ,he is anxious to see how it will turn out ,just like me and my projects ,so I am ignoring the tools that adorn the lounge ,cant iglore the 'wheres the extention lead ,have you seen ?'......lol

Enjoy your evening everyone,I'm off to check on the chicken casserole and get back to my job as labourer!

Makes a change to get March winds in March, lol. Wouldn't it be nice if Summer came on time too. B. x

We had some bad winds too, makes it so cold. So you have a new job as a labourer?!! It's always my pencil I lose when I'm doing any work at home. Jeannette.

Been very windy here but I don't care as it has been a glorious sunny day.  Sunshine and  spring flowers makes everything look so different and is a great tonic. Eve

Hi Jan,  the strike doesn`t seem to affected very much here.  I saw the dustman over the road this morning so that mean`s they`ll come to us tomorrow.  Will we see photos of the fireplace when it`s finished? :o)

Could you please send a plate of chicken casserole over my way? LOL.
Ken has been watching deal or no deal. I watched it once but wasn't to crazy about it. It is a new show over here at least in our area. Helen

It came in like a massive lion here but as it's been so warm and beautiful and sunny today it's turning more lamb like...Certainly a huge difference to the 3 foot snow we had at beginning of march    Caff xxx

Hi Jan,

Thanks for stopping by at George Mansions and your comment. I've been enjoying reading yours today, I tried on Tuesday but got giddy whizzing backwards and forwards across the page, glad to see you've licked it back into shape lol.

I love May, a.) I have a whole 11months before I have to think about being a year older b.) I also love the flowers, hawthorn blossom, fruit blossom and best of all lanes full of bluebells and cow parsley. Can't wait.

Hi Jan, I've never heard of a "Fen Blow" before ~ it must be weird suddenly driving through something like that !! Your weather sounds a lot like ours down here ~ roll on spring eh ?? And I LOL re the DIY ~ funny how they all suddenly need a labourer when they pick up a screwdriver ;-)
hugs ~x Debbie x~
