busy doing nothing

Good Evening ,another late entry !no good reason really Maurice has been doing the beading along side the laminate floor he laid ,some time ago,a daunting task cutting all the bits that go around door frames and such ,maybe thats the reason he never found time to do it before ,no matter its almost done now !

Me ! I've cleared up the ironing yet again ,I've also done another load of washing ,its abit like the Forth Bridge is'nt it ?As  Maurice was moving the books in order to shift the book case it ocurred to me as I read the titles of some of the books what a cross section of literature we have ,for instance~Wind in the Willows ,How Green was my valley ,rub shoulders or should I say jackets with all the Patricia Cornwalls and Maeve Binchy's and Miss Read and Hannah Hawkswell,is vieing for a place with Lilian Beckwith ,oh and a rather nicely bound copy of Mill on the Floss ,a couple of Bibles and a prayer book snuggle up with Bailliers nursing dictionary ,Quite what the latter is doing there I dont know?It should be in here on the shelf behind me which is floor to ceiling with books on crafts,Fishing, Travel ,and the usual referance books we cant survive with out .There is usually about four books on my bed side table ,beside his Maurice keeps at least one and a crossword book ,Oh yes a book is a friend indeed where would we be without them ,So on that note I'm off to watch some tele !

Have a lovely evening ,everyone       and love from  Jan xx

Hi Jan,   the beading around the laminate is a horrible fiddly job and Jim didn`t like doing it either.  I`ve had the washing machine on all evening too, just the one more load to go before I`m done.  You have a good cross section of books there, we have Wind in the Willows and a book by Miss Read in amongst our books.  I think it might be a good idea if we did journal entries about our books, it could be rather interesting to hear what others read.  :o)

I love this jounal, it brought me back to reality and I had to smile when you mentioned watching the TV.

Books all over the place sounds like our home and I have to say that ours are not getting read either because of all the jobs I am hinted to start and finish.

My fond regards to Maurice.

By for now,

John.

My goodness Jan! Our journals are a match these last few days!  I threw in about the book I'm reading now, yours is about books too!  And I see your beautiful knitted poncho...mine is about how jealous I am of people who knit fast enough to finish a project in this life time =)  I only just learned to knit in 2005, so I'm doing OK I suppose. Anyway, it's always a pleasure to read your journal!  Give that cute dog of yours a pat on the head for me =)
Take care!
hugs, Angel

You certainly do have a cross section of literature - I like to keep a cross section too - I become easily bored with the same kind of book everytime!!  Well done Maurice for finishing the beading!
