Late entry Saturday evening

Donna's lovely picture is a total contrast to some of the waterways ,we came by today on our way home ,however I felt we would all like to see what summer looks like !!

If there is anyone still up ,its eleven.o.clock Maurice is going to watch the boxing so I thought I'd do a late post ,you know what they say ,better late than never,We have been out today and I took some pictures on the way home, as we came by a field that was full of the bog oaks that had been ploughed up ,I dont know if you can see them in the pictures ,and we also drive by a Fen drain, this one is known as the forty foot ,very popular with fishermen during the fishing season ,to day it had a layer of ice on it that hadnt thawed although its been a nice sunny day (nice for Joan's daughter Angela's wedding )You can imagine it can be abit scary driving along side these drains ,unfortunately there have been many fatal accidents, people are campaigning for barriers ,but they say the banks could'nt sustain them ,you just have to take it carefully ,although idiots will overtake you !!

Maurice is at work tomorrow so I had better go and do his pack up,So I will wish you all a warm peaceful rest ....

It's past your Bedtime (lol) I'm still around~ waiting for painkillers to take effect!
Wow you seem to be driving a bit near to the Edge (lol) in the pictures...
Snow still on the Ground here, but some has thawed with the Sun.
Have a peaceful Sunday..

I'm still up, just started falling asleep at my computer!! I did a late entry and promptly clicked the red cross and deleted it!! Glad to see you're more awake than me!! Lovely graphics, I can't wait for summer so I'm going in search of it on monday!! The fens do look scarey to drive beside, especially in the dark I would imagine. Have a lovely sunday. Speak when I get home! Jeannette xx

Love all the pictures and I can see some of the logs. I like Donna's picture also.
It is just now getting dark here so it's a good bit until bedtime. Have a good night. Helen

Jan...it wouldn't be so scary if you were driving on the other side of the road.  Of course even then, if you were going in the other direction, you'd still be next to the water.  Seems like there should be a metal guard rail along that side of the road.  One small mistake & you'd be going for a swim....beautiful graphic. It was a beautiful sunny day here and it got up to about 58 degrees.   Linda in Washington state.

Ooh brave girl!  I'm scared of water and only went along that road to Forty Foot once, many years ago to look at a property that was for sale - needless to say, I didn't buy it, and wished I didn't have to drive back along that road........I used to loath having to drive along that drain at R St Mary's too especially at night =:-O
