Getting into the Spring s

Hi Every one ,its grey day here ,not a very nice welcome for the beginning of Spring ,if indeed it is,I was always under the impression spring began on March 21st ,not the 20th ! but I'm not going to argue,I am more than happy to say goodbye to winter, the weather though, has any one informed the weather ?

So as the top graphic suggests ,we are all now meant to start spring cleaning ,I bet that thought cheers you up ! It reminds me of an incident about four years ago ,at work ,I set off to visit some residents ,It was a lovely sunny Monday  morning every one was in a good mood ,full of the joys of Spring ,you might say ,

I got to this particular bungalow where dear little Meg lived ,could hear her singing away ,but as I know she's very deaf, and wont wear her hearing aid ,I go in ,calling to her as I go.......there she is in her bedroom ,a double bed mattress and what she calls an overlay are propped up at the wall ,and there she is handbrush in hand brushing away at the springs on her bedstead ! Oh I am glad you've come she said, you can help me put this lot back ,and so of course I did  mindful of course that it is not in my job discription! how on earth she had managed to take all this lot to bits I dont know ,she was well over eighty ,and all of five feet tall ,and so frail looking Huh! but what a fiecely independant old dear she was ,but you see its spring cleaning time and these jobs have to be done .

Oh dear its now afternoon ,to lateto give the divan a shove to see if any dust has formed under there, since it was last done !! Never mind I'm sure its happy dust ? yer its happy where it is !    Have a good day everyone

Doesn't look like Spring here for sure!!! Gray skies, rain/sleet mix, VERY windy, chance of 3-6" snow!!! YIKES!!!!!!! BRRRRR
Hope you have a grand week, my dear. Take care.

Eeks spring cleaning - no thanks LOL.  Reminds me of once when someone asked me what was under my bed, i replied Dusty Laminate Flooring LOL.  Bless Meg, some of my ladies have done similar things when i have gone into their homes and then needed help!  Not in the job description as you say!

reminds me of my Great Grandmother who dragged an old kitchen cabinet outside and chopped it up for kindling with a big axe - she was only in her nineties.

Hi Jan, I can't get into the 'spring cleaning' mode because I am stuck in the winter with all the mud being paddled in by wellies and paws..lol..but when the bluebells carpet the woods, I am sure my mood will be lifted..I can imagine the old lady with her duster though...lol

It's amazing what 80 year olds can manage when they want to, lol. I don't think it's officially Spring until it's warm enough to open the windows, so you can put your mop and bucket away for another week - at least. B. x

Now come on Jan shift that divan!! Hahah  Happy spring cleaning.  Eve PS. Mine is usually done in readiness for the New Year so come Spring it's up with the feet and out with a good book for me!

Hi Jan!

I like that!  Happy Dust! Happy to stay where it is!  lol  I do a little all the time, because I really don't like house cleaning.  Even when you do the "big job" it still looks the same! Then you wonder why you are so tired.   That picture is me facing housework!

Take Care!

Yes dust seems to always be happy where ever it is. Isn't that nice that we don't have to worry about it? Paula
