Sunny but windy Sunday

Maurice has just gone off to work his last night ,so here I am ,in case I dont get back for a day or two ,Maurice will be on holiday for twelve days ,and who knows where we will go ...

Thanks Chris for my lovely graphic today ,its from last year but still lovely ,

Well as you can see ,I took the pictures of the shop window ,it difficult to take the pictures with the sun shining ,but I hope you get the idea ,I bought the usual grocerys and the tele mag ,before I went and browsed the second hand books in the charity shop ,I found''The Luxury of Time '' by Jane  and Mike Tomlinson,Jane died recently ,losing her battle to cancer ,but my, what a brave lady ,she ran three London Marathons, one 2,500-mile bike ride and a Full Ironman Triathlon, she has raised over one million pounds for charity and become a national heroin,Her husband and three dear children must miss her terribley....I also bought two books by a new author to me Minette Walters,'The Echo ',and 'The Scolds  Bridle',has anyone read any of her books ?

I share this computer with Maurice but it seems we have some competion .  ....

Hmm ,where do I start?

Ah  yes I see !

Now dont you think Im clever ?

Well I will go now and make myself something to eat ,yes my appetite has come back ...Lasagne I  think !

So for what is left of this Sunday ,have a blessed evening every one with love and

                               Jan  xx

Sorry about the reflection in your pictures but it was the sunshine which looks beautiful. I have only read one of Minette Walters books I think it was 'The Ice Houseit was a long time ago but I think I liked it. Hope you have a good holiday regardless where you go. Love Joan.

Hello Jan,

I am full of admiration for Jane Tomlinson, she did more in her last seven years than most of us will do in a lifetime. Her courage and determination gives hope to fellow cancer sufferers everywhere and the money she raised will help so many people. I`ve not read Minette Walters but I`ve heard she`s a brilliant writer, I hope you enjoy her books. :o)

Love Sandra xxxx

I didn't mind the reflection at all because I got to see the lovely view your your little town.  It is so quaint and neat looking.  I guess I hadn't seen any pictures of your Kizzee for a while and didn't realize she'd gotten so big.  She is adorable and looks to be a bit of a character too !  Hope you both have a lovely holiday.  Take lots of pictures !  'On Ya' - ma

Nice to see Kizzie, hasn't she grown?.....haven't read Minette Walters, but saw The Ice House on TV, and I thought it was a brilliant story.

I like that enamelware in the shop window, Jan.  Comfortingly retro.
Yes, I've read several Minette Walters books, and enjoyed them all.
As for Kizzie......how she's grown, and what lovely pricked-up ears.  Have a good time all together during Maurice's holiday.

I could linger in a store such as this for hours.  Hope you both enjoy your time together. It looks as though you may now have to wait your turn for the computer! How adorable those pictures are. Take care and many blessings to you and yours - Happy to hear your appetite decided to join you for dinner.  Have a wonderful day,
Katie

You haven't let us down on the Lavender Blue pictures one bit Jan. We got two treats for the price of one.  It was such a beautiful day we got to see your town's reflections in the window too.  Now that was really interesting!
Kizzy has grown up into a fine young lady!  And talented too by the looks of things.  Computer literate already?  Now that's clever!  She will soon be your
secretary...lol!
I'm so pleased to hear you have got your appetite back too.  Lasagne...one of my favourites.
Enjoy your twelve days with Maurice.

Hugs

Your dog is so cute!  I have read several of Minette Walters books, I like her writing very much, it is a bit dark, but that's why I like it!  If you like these books you may also like Kathy Reichs.  Two of my all time favourite books are Whited Sepulchres by Anne Perry and Charles and Elizabeth by W.J. Burley.  If you come across either of them I am sure you would enjoy reading them.  Sorry, once you get me on the subject of books I never shut up!

Awww what a face Kizzie has, she's a card :)  Haven't read any of those books but I'll put the name on my list.  The shop looks wonderful, he did a good job.  Hope you and Maurice have some lovely outings in his holiday time. Rache

Have a lovely time with Maurice, I hope you enjoy his holiday time together.  That Kizzie is so sweet, absolutely gorgeous, have you thought of putting her in for modelling?? Ah, thats a way to make your fortune.  Hope you enjoy all your books, I haven't read your new ones but did read the one by Jane Tomlinson, you'll enjoy reading that.  Its very sad that she has gone, she was fantastic and so brave.  I read recently that she had suffered some crank calling her saying she was a faker of her illness, hmmmm.  Shame she had to endure that too.  Hugs, Tells x

I hope you have a wonderous time with Maurice off! I can't believe how big Kizzie has gotten. She is such an adorable beauty! (Hugs) Indigo

I just love that shop window.  I could see enough of it to know it looks so festive for fall.  LOL at Kizzy.  She is quite a clever doggie.  Better put on parental controls.  Love xx Chris

The "Lavender Blue" shop looks very interesting.  I'm glad Gabi stays off the computer.  She's more interested in sleeping and eating.    Whatever you do the next 12 days...have fun.  You & Maurice could fly over & go to the Puyallup Fair with Bob & me.  That would be fun!   Linda in Washington state

I always enjoy your pictures of the "LavenderBlue" shop it's a pity that a lot of shops don't take the time to make their windows interesting.
Have a lovely time wherever you decde to go have a good rest.

I love the pictures of your shop window.  I would probably spend a fortune in there, it always seems to have lots of things I like in there.  In reality though I'd just dream alot and wish they could be mine if I only had the money, lol.  Lovely pictures of the much beloved pooch too!  I don't know how you get him to sit still long enough to take his picture!  Everytime I try to take pics of mine she starts prancing about!

Hasn't Kizzy grown Jan?! She's beautiful, and very clever too! I love the Lavender Blue shop window, they must spend hours doing it up, it always looks so pretty! I've heard of Minette Walters but don't think I've ever read her books, let us know what you think of her.It was sad when Jane Tomlinson died wasn't it, she did so much at a time when most people would be feeling sorry for themselves. Her family must feel so proud of her. Enjoy your break with Maurice! Jeannette xx

I thought those pics were really good Jan, we could see that you were trying all angles to avoid the reflection, but instead it gave everybody different views of the street scene.

Kizzie looks so cute, I bet she gives you hours of fun.
I hoe she doesn't try to sit on your knee when you're at the computer like my Alfie does :-/

Glad you've got your appetite back :-D
