Its only' Words '

Good evening everyone ,no graphics I cant get into file manager,I am also having problems ,keeping my script,on  an even keel ,Yes the skirt is done and I will get a piccy taken with me in it later ,meanwhile ,here is a picture of it hanging on the door .

Did you have an autograph book when you were young ?We didnt just keep them for sports stars and famous people, our family and friends would write little verses in them ,also teachers ,and anyone else we could persuade to write in in our book, I remember a favourite teacher ,wrote 'Be good sweet maid and let who will be clever'I never understood that for years  ,some one would always write on the front ...and back cover 'By hook or by crook I'll be first/last  in your book'but some little verses seem to stay with you  through the years..Patience is a virtue, possess it if you can.Seldom found in woman and never in a man .Then there was..In this world of time and trouble, two things stand like stone.Sorrow in anothers trouble ,courage in your own ,and~ Smile and the world smiles with you, weep and you weep alone,For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth. It has  troubles enough of its own.

I would recieve a new autograph book at Christmas time ,and what fun they were ,So I will leave you to muse over that lovely memory..         Lots of Love Jan xx

I had an autograph book in 6th grade, where all the students signed.  After that it was the year books with our pictures in it, and at the end of the  year, friends and teachers could sign their names and write whatever they wanted to.

Good memories..

I've never had an autograph book but I love the verses. We are having trouble with journals because Pam Anderson is getting a divorce according to Editor Jeff. Ugh.
I like the skirt.

Yes, I remember having an autograph book.  I wonder what ever happened to it.  I should go out and get one, for co-workers to sign before I retire.  That would be a fun keepsake. The skirt looks nice, anxious to see you modeling it.   Linda in brrrrrr cold Washington

Yes, I had an autograph book, what memories you have brought back.  I have no idea what happened to it, wish I still had it. It had a lot of my teachers' little sayings in it as well.  The problems are endless with aol.  Read the entry I put on late last night Jan.

Yes, the old grey matter is grinding into action !  Memories of my autograph book: `When this you see, remember me'; and, from a very stodgy girl, `In your chain of friendship, count me as a link'.  I wonder what goes into them today ?  Better not to know !  Bunny.

Goodness, Jan..AOL isn't downloading any pictures for me today.  I'll have to see your skirt when AOL cooperates.  I use Photobucket but have been hearing about the file manager, which I used previously.  LOL...I did have an autograph book as a child.  I had many of the same things written in mine.  I found it not too long ago.  My children thought it was hysterical as they don't seem to do that anymore.  Have a good Wed evening and good luck with the FM.  xx  Chris

I have two old autograph books, only folks of my age would recognise the names though!  I would never part with them as they bring back vivid memories of standing patiently at stage doors for the Star to come out..... :-D

Nice skirt. I remember having an autograph book in grammar school. I think it may still be in my collection of things from those times that I don't look at anymore. Maybe I will take a look. Thanks, Regards, Bill.
