Cold and Wet Friday

A lovely graphic ,one of Donna's of course ,I think my all time favourite is still the sewing machine she made ,that is in my side bar ,but not my photograph that has disappeared already !Well its been a cold wet day today ,Maurice came home this morning ,he has been working nights for the last three nights ,so he has been asleep ,so I have been keeping myself busy , I was tidying out the cupboard where I keep my towels, the other day and found this material ,and a zip and the cotton ,what a bonus !I bought it last year and didnt get it made up ,so as the pictures suggest, I have been busy ,it isnt finished  yet but I will show you when its complete.....I took a break to do this quicky entry and now its time to make our dinner, not going to tell you what we are having, got every one of our American friends confused with the toad in the hole  ......oh well alright then..... I have a couple of nice fillets of cod (not the boil in the bag),I'm sure you all know about cod ! mashed potatoes, cauliflower, peas and cheese sauce ,not sure about pudding yet ! probably be kicking the freezer door again see what falls out ......so on that happy note I will wish you a very good evening ,With love From Jan xx

Cod fillets sound wonderful. What time will it be ready?  When I fix cod, I roll the fillets in bread crumbs, and then fry it slowly in olive oil.  Yummy, I may have to go to the store and but one for my dinner.  Linda in Washington

If it's a cold day I think it's the perfect day to stay inside and sew and cook.  Enjoy yourself!

My store had sewing machines on sale for $88. They were very expensive ones too and discounted. I wish i knew how to sew. I like to see how you make things.

I haven't had the time to sew in years, but I love to.  Someday I hope to get back to it, I've patterns and material , just no extra time.  I'll be watching for the finished product !  'On Ya'-ma

We have something in common!  I love to sew, too.  I haven't made any clothing for myself but I have made a lot of things for my daughter when she was young and for my granddaughter.  My recent sewing has been quilts and baby blankets.
Please post a picture of your finished skirt!
Hugs,  Kathy

Notice you have kicked off your shoes before crawling around on the carpet Jan !
I have evolved a perfect slut's fish pie, using Tesco cheese sauce and mashed potato- that's two less saucepans to wash up.  Bunny x

Dinner sounds good. Don't worry - we have some foods with odd names here; Shoefly pie and Mississippi Mud. LOL
Hope the weather clears. It's been cold and rainy here as well.

That cod sounds like a very nice dinner. We have halibut with mashed potatoes, spinach, and usually a mix of cauliflower and broccoli. I do enjoy fish dinners. Have a great (if a little damp) weekend. Regards, Bill.

I have always loved to sew my own clothes.  It's like riding a bike - one never forgets!  I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Love,

I don't know Jan All this talk of food,
Valerie and I stood on the scales this morning and she is not a happy bunny so it was down to Tesco's for salad type fare amd healthy Eating and points and all that.
I did suggest that the scales were erroneous but she was having none of it.

Take care

Is the skirt finished yet? It would be good to see a picture of you wearing it.

I was watching Pie in the Sky the other day, I've only ever seen you in photos but I think there is a certain resemblance to his wife. She's one of those women that can even make overalls look good.
