My Weekend

On Friday I set off with my bus pass ,to Peterborough ,Grandson Stuart has been ringing me up all week to come and see their new house .... They have been on holiday this week, so have spent the week painting their lovely new home ,Vicki's Dad has retiled the kitchen floor ,and they have decorated right through ,and its so nice ,I am so proud of them ,they have worked and  saved ,and now are on the first step to being homeowners ......

When I got to Peterborough ,I went to' George'and bought a nice top ,in an ivory colour I had been looking for ,(Kate later gave me the money for it ,when I showed it to her ) I went over to Asda and bought a book that had been a holiday read recommendation on' Richard and Judy '(an afternoon chat show )I'ts by  Elizabeth Hyde called'The Abortionists Daughter',I havent started it yet but will let you know ......

I got to my daughter Kates ,where we had a sandwich and a cup of coffee and a natter, then we set off to see Stuart and Vicki and their new house ,Stuart is the  second son of my daughter Sharon ,after a tour of the house we sat in their garden and eat some cake Stuart had bought for his Gran's visit ,and whilst there Stuarts younger brother Paul  turned up ,'Did you see the down stairs loo Gran ?I painted that ' said Paul proudly ,Vicki and Stuart had set him on  too !......

Back to Kates to wait for Maurice to finish work ,and take me home ,when surprise ! Iain turned up ....he lives and works in London so I dont see him so often now ,he is here for the weekend ,and wasnt due till Saturday so ,lovely I got to see him too ,so I saw all Sharons boys ,they are my three eldest Grandsons ,who have a sister Charlotte my only Grandaughter ,.Maurice arrived to take me home and we popped back to Stuarts so Maurice could see the house, then home and collected fish and chips as it was now too late to start to cook  ,so that was Friday ....

Now what did I say about Donna's timing ?Look at this lovely graphic thankyou Donna so much....   ...Yesterday my dear sister Jean and her lovely husband Pete ,had been married for thirty nine years ,and must be the happiest couple I know ,they are so well suited and still as much in love now as they were all that time ago ,Jean and I were talking ,wondering where the time had gone ! and all the things that had happened to our familys in that time ,all the dear family members who have passed away ,but also all the new ones who have joined us or been born Any way with all my love to two of the nicest peple I know ,and who have always been there for me ...many many more years  for you together I pray .......

        Love to Everyone Jan xxx

Isn't it amazing how those precious little grandsons, grow up to be taller than grandma?  I have the same situation with my grand son Harrison.  He turned 15 in April and is much taller than me.  I can't pick him up and hold him up over my head anymore. LOL   Linda in WA

Hi Jan,  A very Happy Anniversary to Jean and Pete, they sound like a lovely couple.  Well done to Stuart and Vicki, I love to hear about young people who strive hard to get what they want.  No wonder you are so proud.  I hope you enjoy the book. :o)

Your boys are all good looking and yes - they are indeed a bit taller than you! (Well, more than a bit perhaps)

How beautiful it is for you to include your sister and her husband's anniversary. Really Jan, 39 years is a true blessing. Please give them my regards.

Okay, get ready for this - this dumb American has no idea what a natter is but I am sure you enjoyed it:)
