Thats life !!

Another sunny day ,the only thing is there is alot of snow underfoot ,that doesnt seem to want to go !I have to admit I dont like it ,I worry about people who have to travel. I woke up this morning... feeling ,well I dont know .....not quite headachey ,but as if I have another cold ,I feel hot and muzzy,so that decided me ,between how I feel and the conditions on the roads I rang in to say I wasnt going in to work ,I feel abit bad ,but at the same time ,sometimes you have to get your prioritys right ,it was the last day I was to work and if Im ill standing about waiting for buses to come home ,etc Im sure you know what Im getting at , I seem to have been doing this entry all morning ,First Jean rang so we had a nice girly chat ,about everything and nothing ,then friend Jackie rang ,upset, they have had their car stolen overnight .Surely not for joyriding ,in this weather !they had almost decided that John wouldnt be driving for much longer ,each year it amazed us by getting through its MOT yet again ,so now the decision has been made for them ,which is sad really it should have been their decision ,and not the b*****,who think they can help them selves to other folks property.Reading through this entry it strikes me its not exactly full of sunshine and light ,I think Id better close before I depress you all further !! With Love Jan xx XX

You could never depress me Jan. I think you are right about staying home.  If you are going down with something the last thing you want to do is hang around in the freezing cold.  Also you do not want to pass it on to anyone.  Sorry to hear about the car, I agree it should have been their decision.  Lots of people seem to have had problems over the Christmas season.

Some people will steal anything - they don't know what misery they cause the people whose property they stole..hope you feel better soon,   Ally

Sounds like you are getting this rotten headcold :o(  I've still not managed to shake mine off a week later...Glad you didn't go into work as a) it will get worse being out in the freezing weather b) you don't want to pass it on to those you work with...Do hope your friends car is found and those who stole it are found too...I also hope that those that stole it weren't hurt by crashing it in the weather you have even though they are gits...Take care Caff xxx

I'm sorry your friends had their car stolen, it happened to my friend last Christmas, her husband has emphysema so couldn't get out at all till they got another one as he can hardly breathe. If only these scum would think before they stole peoples' property. Glad you phoned in sick at work, it's not worth risking being ill for your last day there. Keep warm. Jeannette.

Sorry to hear you are not 100% today maybe it will go quickly. About your friend's car I think that is dispicable some people would pinch the shirt off you back as we say up here.  Love Joan.

I think you are brilliant for doing a job that means you having to do so much travelling by bus.  The hardest part of my job is getting up at 5.30am :-((  but at least I can drive the ten miles in a nice warm car.  Every morning the first thing I do after getting out of bed is to look out of the window to check the weather and that my car is still there!   I'm really angry that your friend's car got stolen, but these wicked thieves give not a toss for how their actions affect their victims.

I have been getting up later and later, whilst I've been on holiday - it was 9.am this morning, I was laying in my nice warm bed listening to Radio Cambridgeshire and persuaded myself that it didn't matter at all what time I got up!  The problem is getting used to such indolence - for that reason alone, I'm really looking forward to retirement ;-)

Jan I think you did the right thing, it's not the weather for travelling if you're under the weather anyway, much better at home on a cosy settee by the fire.  It sounds like youlve got the dreaded flu coming so take care tlc for yourself for a change and get better soon. Rache xx

Awful news about the car being stolen. Ours was broken into one New Year so it had to have new door glass but to actually have it stolen is awful! Christmas has ended here, tree wise as we had to take the tree down to do some changing around of furniture....when I do my next entry you will find out why!

Hi Jan,  it makes me livid that people think they have the right to steal cars, just because they want to have a bit of `fun`.  The same goes for those who damage parked cars or steal the makers badges,  like my poor little Renault Clio who will stay badgeless until I can find a way to catch the would-be thieves.  An electric force field perhaps? That`d show `em!  Good for you not going to work, you don`t want to make yourself worse standing out in this cold.  Take care and I hope you feel better.  :o)
