Birthday Pictures

More  and more time seems to pass between entry’s ,though I have to say I have had a very painful shoulder ,brought on, I suspect by to much time on here ,and Maurice was quite poorly ,But after a second visit to the Doctors and a stronger antibiotic ,he is much better now ,and we thank you all  for your good wishes. Proving yet again what a caring place our community here in JL and is.

Last Tuesday I went off in a taxi (the company pay) to our Residents news letter meeting, I had another piece accepted for publication, In the Christmas edition, we ran a colouring competion for the children, and the winner was a little fellow who lives near me, so as a member of the editorial team I was elected to present him with a certificate and his winning vouchers, an especially nice task as it was also my Birthday, on Wednesday.

I am so blessed I received some lovely cards and presents, My Daughter Kate gave me a super book,’’The Granny’s Book ‘’, with some great bits I can share with you another time ,a lovely bracelet(she knows I like my bling  and some money ,I had lovely flowers from Maurice ,with a rain cheque on a pressie ! when we are out and about again ,Jean gave me a book token and a couple of books a new beaker for Pisces  people full of choccies ,oh and a cd ,gosh I did so well.

On Saturday Maurice came shopping with me  ,and Lavender Blue have a lovely Spring/Mothers day display in their window I have taken some pictures ,Yesterday we went to the Sunday Market where I found two books I had been looking for ,we also bought some veggies  ,So there we are that’s me up to date again I hope you all have a good week ,With love

Glad you had a lovely birthday Jan with lots of lovely cards (specially like the teddybear one ;-) ) Aw the little boy looks so pleased to have won! :-D
Which market did you go to on Sunday Jan?  I must admit to being right out of the swing of things with not having my car :-(
although my son took me and my cat Merlin to the vets last Friday and I had a quick look in Lavender Blue's window.
Merlin had not been himself for a couple of days, not eating or drinking, the vet gave him an antibitic saying he may have a sore throat.  By the time we got home (about 20 mins later) he was as good as new and wanting to eat everything in sight! The miracles of modern medicine eh!

Happy Birthday to you !  It does look like you had a great one.  I'm at a computer all day and work and then go home and do some more on the one at home.  Thankfull I've not had any problems over the years with it.  I try to stretch out and get up and move around at times so I'm not sitting in one place too long at a time.  Thanks for sharing your birthday !  'On Ya' - ma

Jan
I'm glad Maurice is on the mend now and I hope your shoulder is getting better, too.  Happy Birthday!  That's a nice picture of you and the young award winner.  It sounds like you got some nice things for your birthday.  BTW, I just read your last entry and got a chuckle about the banjo model.  I enjoyed seeing Maurice's guitars on the wall, too.  I hope you both get completely well.  Take care!

Oh Jan, I'm so sorry I missed your birthday!  I would have loved to send you a card!  You kept that very quiet!  It looks like you had a lovely day though and what a lovely bunch of cards you got!  Sorry to hear that your shoulder is giving you so much problems though.  Hope that it gets better soon.  Glad to hear that Maurice is feeling better though.  Wonderful picture of you with the lucky winning lad!  He looks so chuffed, as well he should be!
Looking forward to seeing some snaps of Lavender Blue's Mother's Day display.  I can well imagine it is lovely just like their other ones.

You naughty girrrrl!   You could have dropped us a hint.  I would have sent you a card.
It looks as though you have been well spoilt already by your family and friends though.
                           Happy Belated Birthday!  xx

And may you have many many more my friend.
I know what you mean with the shoulder business.  I have to lay off computing from time to time because of mine.  I blame holding the mouse for too long sometimes and it causes tension in the shoulder.
Hope yours goes soon.  Looking forward to seeing Lavender Blues window soon.  I bet its lovely!
Congratulations to you and to the little neighbours lad.  Well done!
(((((Hugs)))))

Hi Jan. Sorry I missed your birthday....I am having so many problems with aol at the moment that I am considering going to BT big time!! Sounds like you had an excellent day. Sam is still not too good but his heart seems to be settling and his lungs are a lot clearer but he has lost roughly 6 - 8 kilos in weight which when you consider his normal weight is about 24kg and he is down to roughly 16/17kg he is looking pretty thin; the main worry is getting him to eat which he is very reluctant to do, even his favourites. Much love to you and Maurice. love Joan
(By the way I am having to access everything via work internet!!!)
