Spring is in the air

Spring has sprung ,the grass is rizz, wonder where the lawn mower is ?

Well of course I know where it is ,its in the back of the shed,Iwas putting out the washing in the sun shine that finally arrived this week ,I realise the grass needs cutting ,When he has his days off I must na ....ask Maurice to mow the lawn he is working his second night tonight  ,so needs to sleep through the day so it wouldnt be fair to nag him about it .

Have you seen my side bar ,I am supporting our dear friends Jeannette and Sugar as you all know ,Im sure ,have had such awful news this week ,and to say thankyou too, to Donna for my lovely graphic, she too is worrying about someone ,They all need our prayers ,which of course they can be sure of ,and are in our thoughts ,sending you Ladies lots of good vibes and all our love .

Shh... do you think Spring is here ?Ithink it might be !We have had some lovely sunshine this week ,and we all feel better when we see the sun ,it even spurred me on to wash the cream cushion covers ,which looked lovely on the line the other day ,and smelled so lovely and fresh when I brought them in again ,to iron ,yes Im up to date with the dreaded ironing ,I have felt really good today ,I think you have to be poorly now and again ,to appreciate how good it is to feel well .

I had the loveliest surprise earlier ,whilst out shopping my sister Jean bumped into(not literally ) an old school friend, who is the cousin of an old School friend of mine, and got her phone number for me ,I rang her a little while ago ,she was just leaving to go to the theatre,so for the short while we chatted ,she expressed her delight ,and made me promise to ring again, which of course I cant wait to do ,so I will let you know how it goes ,When I say she was a school friend ,thinking about it, we knew each other before we started school ,so we go back along way though havent been in touch for at least fourty years GOSH ! ....I have added some pictures of my jaunt to the shops this morning ,and shown you some of the goodys I bought ,The pictures of the shop called Lavender Blue are becoming a feature now ,arent they ? I showed the pictures of their Christmas display and Valentines one too ,so felt I should show the latest  Spring/Easter/Mothers day ,its as lovely as always ....Well I think thats it for this time ,Have a good Saturday Evening Everyone ,With Love From

Well Jan another lovely posting and what nicer than it to be full of my favourites FLOWERS.Oh they are so lovely arn't they.We have a shop similar to this in th enext town a short ride away and when I go I am there hours LOL!! browsing around. How lovely to be able to ring your long time lost friend.40yrs thats a long long time Jan .I am so happy for you.Yes the washing looks great blowing on a fresh spring day I do agree ans smells great too when all done.As for the mowing of the lawn I always did mine on high cut in March to just allow it to dry out a little. Then pricked it all with the garden fork to airiate it.So you can do that when Maurice has mowed LOL!!The pastries look delicious it's great when you can eat these and still stay slim and beautiful as you look.Grrrrrrrrr I love them but put a couple of pound on just looking at this kind of food. LOL!!Yes I have put my graphics for Sugar and Jeannette in my sidebar and the links.Enjoyed your posting so much.Have a lovely week/end Take care God Bless.

I so loved your photos, especially of the laundry blowing in the breeze.  I think spring has indeed sprung!  All the daffs are blooming in my garden and the birds are pairing up and singing a beautiful song.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

HOW can you eat food like that and stay so slim? It's just not fair. I might risk the occasional cream cake as a treat but pasties! Never in a million years, if I ate one, within minutes you would see my thighs balloon!

I love your Lavender Blue phtos Jan.  Its a lovely shop. I too eventually met up with an old school chum 18 Months ago.   It was forty two years ago since I had last seen her at school. She is now a very talented lady who lives in Australia. She came over to see me, sadly, the week I got diagnosed with my breast cancer so it was a bitter sweet encounter again.  We spent a wonderful week catching up and she promised to return.  She is....on our 60 birthday this May.  I am so delighted!
I hope you enjoy your friends company again too Jan.  Memories..aren't they wonderful?  Jeanie

It was so nice to see your bits of Spring.  I'm sure it is just around the corner here.  Lots of my snow is melting and my dog has finally found his yard again.  It is heavenly to smell fresh things from on the line.  There is just nothing to compare the good smell with.  'On Ya' -ma

Lol Jan -  can see that you aren't afraid of the calories in your house!  Those goodies look lovely and I DO like the jug that your flowers are in.
I forgot to look in Lavender Blue when I was there last week - yes keep the pics coming, LB should put you on commission for advertizing them ;-)
It has been a lovely day here today and most of my bulbs are now in full bloom, I did notice how much the grass had suddenly grown, must get the mower out tomorrow if the sunshine lasts.

Just catching up with alerts after a busy day! I love the shelf units in the shop window and the display looks like it was done with a lot of thought and care. No Jan, don't show me cream cakes!! All I've had today is fruit and a chicken salad! Lol! Let us know how you get on with the old friend, it's nice to catch up isn't it?! I've got Jeannette's and Sugars graphics on my sidebar too. It makes your own worries seem trivial doesn't it? Have a lovely week. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

I do so like the flowers that adorn your journal.  And that was a very nice honey bee graphic from Donna.  I like coming to England to see how all you English ladies are doing.  I do feel I am traveling a bit when I read your descriptions of what you are about.  I found an old bigoraphy down in the library today about the Duke of Windsor I had not rad that takes place during the war.  I have really been enjoying reading it and how King Eeorge came to be instead of King Edward.  So I have been spendng a lot of time in England today!

I always look forward to seeing what that store window looks like!  Always beautiful.  You had a lovely day!  I hope Maurice was nicely surprised at the goodies you got.
What fun to get a call from someone of your past. But, that call is from WAY BACK!!!  What fun!  I love those....I call 'em my blasts from my past.
Glad you enjoyed it.
