Im still here !

Hi ,a long time since I did an entry ,but as Maurice has been on holiday ,Aunty Kitty  is still quite poorly ,and then I got a bug ,which left me with no energy and feeling tired, the days have just gone by ....we are now into March, did you say White Rabbits on Thursday ?Did March come in like a lion ?it was very windy here ....March winds doth blow and we shall have snow, and what will the Robin do then poor thing ? Oh I do hope we have done with the snow...well doesnt March 21st herald spring ? if thats the case we have just three weeks to go ....as we drove into Peterborough to see Aunty Kitty last Wednesday it made us sad to see just how poorly she is , we called into see Mike and Jackie to tell them how Aunty was ,and as you see I took a couple of pictures of Bobbie ,I couldnt believe she had a squeaky handbag ,remember her in the tou tou at Christmas ?   ,on our way home we saw a big old Hare ! what do they say mad, as a March Hare ? he was bounding down the road a head of us ,with out a care in the world .We went to Huntingdon and onto St Ives one day ,as I said we've been into Peterborough a couple of times ,last Friday we went into M&S and I spent my vouchers ,yes you have guessed it I bought the shoes you see in the picture ....what else ? oh yes Debbie came round to see me whilst I was ill and brought me the lovely flowers ,the smell is delightful ,and oh yes I  finished my cardi ,needless to say not the ironing though ,well I have been poorly .... I hope Im feeling better by Monday as it is WI again and the speaker is Mr Arthur Golden (appropriate name)to tell us about 'The Life of a Honey Bee'and if its any good I will of course share it with you ,then on Wednesday its  the over 60's club but dont know what excitment is planned for that meeting , I think thats me ,pretty much up to date  so I shall wish you all a lovely weekend ,with love from

Thanks to Chris and Dianna for my tags today

I love those shoes, but my ankles are so weak, I'd surely sprain one (or two) if if wore them.  I can twist my ankle walking across the kitchen with no shoes on.  I've always been that way....never could risk ice skating.   Your weather sounds like ours.  We've had it all in the past week, including snow.  Will it ever quit?  Glad to hear from you again...have a good weekend.   Linda in Washington

Hi, I said White Rabbits!!!! Reminiscing at the moment about this day last year (not date...that is tomorrow!!) and how I was dressed to the nines and having a damn good time, as opposed to this precise moment when I am very stressed and fed up....what a difference a year makes!!! Sorry to hear you have been poorly, hope it is not what we have had because I would not wish that on anyone.....it has left me feeling very drained and low.

Sorry your Aunt Kitty isn't getting along well.  I was sort of hoping to hear that she was springing back.  Love those shoes!  You find the nicest things.  Well, spring has not sprung here yet.  It was 60 on Friday and snowing again last night.  I have a huge dose of spring fever.  Hope you are feeling better.  Love xx Chris

I am in awe of anyone that can knit.  I crochet but cannot knit to save my soul.  Your cardigan is beautiful and I am definitely envious that you did it all yourself.  You are just so skilled!

Hi Jan, how on earth did you manage to do an entry??? Many of us are tearing out hair out in frustration because the 'add entry' button has disappeared! Did you lose yours at all? I wanted to do an entry too, (first time for ages!) to show you my Spring flowers in unusual containers, the garden is looking very colourful at the moment, but as you say, very windy!

Sorry to hear that you got this dratted bug that's going around - I've had it and I still can't get rid of my cough :-(

I love your shoes - they are very 'me' and would love a pair too.  Clever girl knitting your cardi - looks lovely.
Had a chuckle at the doggy handbag! :-D

Bye for now

Third time lucky Jan...I've tried to make an entry before but each time had to give up as I got called away.  I just love your shoes...I want some!  You just reminded me that I still have quite a bit of money in Marks and Sparks vouchers from Christmas.   I keep forgetting I have them....I might just make time on Thursday when I go through to Kendal to have a wee look in Marks and Sparks.

Sorry you've been so ill.  I dread catching anything like that but hope that my pneumonia and flu jab will hold the worst at bay this Spring.  Its been a bad bug by the sound of things.  I will say a wee prayer for your Auntie Kitty in my prayers tonight..poor soul!
Lovely to see you wering your cardi'.  It didn't take you long to knit it.
Must go...stay well.   Jeanie

I love your cardigan, the colour's gorgeous.  Unfortunately I don't share your talent, so any bootees will have to be knitted for me!
