Pinch Punch !

Hello again every one ,did you say Rabbits this morning ? its what we say at the beginning of the month for luck ! Well yes here we are in February ,so 2007 is now well under way .It is my birthday month , not too sure about that however as I will be 66 and thats heading towards 70 ,and at the rate the time  is flying by ...Oh lets change the subject !

Maurice has just gone off to work ,his few days holiday flew by ,but he has more days to fit in before March so will be off again soon ,He got some stuff done around the house ,and we went shopping ,and to the Sunday market ,and he had a days fishing with my brother in law Pete ,they did well, caught lots of fish ,but it was very cold ,certainly too cold for me to go  with him yet a while .

I have a number of dates in my diary for this month ,on Monday we have the news letter meeting ,for the spring edition , I'll have to put on my thinking cap for that ,then on the Wednesday it will be the over sixties club ,the following Monday ,is WI , when the speaker is to be ''Life on the Royal Yacht ''by a Mr Charles Pickering I am looking forward to that ...I bet it will be interesting and then on the fourteenth of February the WI  in this town will be ninety years old so we are having a celebratery dinner at the local golf club ,another gathering of the Complaints and compliments group on the twenty second ,so February looks as though it will be busy for me .

I have spent ages this afternoon deleting stuff from my file manager in order to add more ,but oh it was slow ,has any one else experianced this ?I put all the ones I have used today into an email to use on my entry ,and guess what ? we had a power cut ,not for long ! just long enough to have lost the bally lot and  have to start all over again ,Happy days !!

I am looking forward to the final part of ''Five Days ''tonight and have to tape it for Maurice .Has anyone been watching ''You dont know you are born ''? its the ITV's version of ''Who do you think you are '',I dont think its quite as good as the BBC's version ,but still watchable ....and so I will now make my self something to eat ,before I settle down with my knitting and the tele ,Have a good evening every one ,with love from....

I haven't tried to use file manager... and yes, February so soon, I can't believe it. And I do admit I got a laugh out of you making your age so small in font. You may be nearing 70, but you've got the vivacity of someone my age! Best wishes to you.

Happy Birthday to you !  I'll be 63 in March - at least 2 more years til I can retire.  It sounds like you enjoy it and keep busy.  I've decided that I really don't mind birthdays too much any more - I just consider it another year of blessings to be thankful for.  I'm just home from work and enjoying being here.  'On Ya' - ma

Yes i did say pinch punch. Have been busy today with work and taking Maddie out etc. Glad you are ok though. It was lovely to talk to you on the phone. You ought to start acting nearly 70 - he he. Not really you're absolutely fine mother. At least you have a few years to go yet, i am 40 this year and i really don't feel forty at times. You take care. Send love and snogs to Maurice. Speak soon. Love you.

Happy Birthday month Jan :-D
I shall be keeping you company in May - but forgot I'd be 66 :-(
As you were born during the war, I wonder how much of it you can remember Jan?  I see they are advertizing the 1940's weekend already!
Yes that electrical blip sent everything into disarray, had to go around sorting out all the clocks :-( And thought my Freeview had packed up, but switched it off for a couple of minutes and normal service was resumed :-D
The weather has been lovely so thinking of getting out into the garden, would be lovely to have an early Spring, my crocuses, snow drops and minature purple iris are in full bloom :-D

Speaking of birthdays, my oldest daughter will be 50 in March and she is already starting to feel depressed aobut it. I wish I could be 50 again. 40's and 50's were the best years of my life. You look young in the picture you had on your sidebar. Paula

HI there Jan,

The only time I have heard people say "White Rabbits", in the area I live in, is in March but don't quote me on this one.  By the way, happy birthday, when it comes.  What is age anyway.

My wife does not age at the same rate as we do for she was born on the 29th, wo betide me if I forget her birthday for she only has a real birthdate once in every 4 years.  She's only 15.5 years of age this time round.

Anyway, when your birthday comes round, I hope you have a wonderful day.

By for now,

John,

I couldn't quite read that small number, even with my glasses on Jan! :0) I watched 5 days & wasn't it gripping? Really enjoyed it. It's so rare to have something good on TV!
