Monday again

First of all ,thanks for your comments regarding the vivis Im pleased so many of you agreed with me ,I wondered if Id been too out spoken ,but felt something had to be said ,and since I was never in the running ...............

Now today is a total contrast to yesterday weather wise ,the sun is shining ,a slight breeze, and Ive got work shirts ,looking nice and bright and white in the sunshine ,remember the satisfaction of lines of lovely white fluffy nappies girls ?

Number two son rang me last evening ,as is his wont ,he lives with Tricia, his wife and three sons Micky ,Edward and Christopher ,in Gillingham in Dorset ,well the outcome of the phone call was ~they ve had their computer repaired, and I didnt realise this before ,they are with AOL, so hes going to have a look at my journals,so I shall have to watch what I sayLOL.Derek is lots of fun, with a brilliant sense of humour ,so I await his comments with the warning ,Iam able to block comments if they get too cheeky!!remember the flipflops Derek, your not to big yet !!(Iused to threaten them with my flip flops ,saying Id beat them ,only to greeted with roars of laughter )Derek was heard telling someone once, they had to salute my flip flops ............Tereble Mother I was !!! they were good kids, and now they are my bestest friends .We had some tough times but lots of good too and many happy memories .

This afternoon Im meeting Chrissy, shes number one sons wife,(Mark)we are going to our computer class ,this will be our third week ,the first was to enroll,Ihavent learned any thing new yet ,but we are getting nearer,so Ill be able to understand many things, that havent been clear up to now ,hopefully.

Since the weather was so nice Ive been potting some tradescanthia(spelling )(Inipped/nicked )from a plant at the court Iwas at the other week !!You can do so much more when the weather is nice ,both inside and out ,

HAVE A GOOD MONDAY EVERYONE ..............JAN XX

Glad you have a pretty day there. Yes I remember hanging out the diapers as we call them on the line sunshine or hot or freezing cold weather. Glad the mothers of today don't have to do that.
Hope you son enjoys reading your journal.
Have a great day.Helen

Glad your're having a good weather day over there.  The TV weather guy is just telling me it's going to be 49* here today with wind & rain. In fact they predict rain everyday this week. I'm no longer in denial...summer is gone.

Hanging out nappies, that brings back memories, when Lyn was tiny I had moved into a new house, and when I pegged out nappies on a Sunday, My next door neighbour came round and said "We don't peg out Laundry on a Sunday"  being very young and outspoken I told her what I thought about that....We did eventually become very good friends she is now 94 years old.  and we are still friends.....and she still apologises about the nappies......Glad the weather is better your way,  I wonder what your Son will think of your Journal - I hope he appreciates his Mum's talents...enjoy your computer classes .....Ally

Nice for your son to be able to read your journal and keep track of what you're up to! I remember the fluffy nappies, good thing about them was they didn't have to be ironed! Jeannette.  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

Hi Jan! Nappies on the line.! . I used to love to see the wind blowing them. . .mine were all nice and white, some you used to see looked like the fireback! If it was too wet a day  I used to put them round my HUGE fireguard lol. There they could scorch while I was busy emptying the leaky twin tub .Those were the days! I had never imagined I would be sitting at a pc while the washing does itself lol.

be funny if your sons pop by and leave a comment about the flip flops lol

I presume nappies are what we call diapers. That was a big satisfaction to see the diapers flapping in a warm breeze. we even boiled them on the stove because our mother's had told us that had to be done. Boy! Times have change for young mothers. Paula
