Well today is Palm Sunday and next week it will be Easter ,it seems as though Christmas was just the other day ,but of course it will feel like that, because Easter is as early this year as it possibly can be ,and I understand from Sybil it wont ever be as early as this in our life time .Easter day is always the first Sunday after the full moon which happens on the or next after the 21st March ,and if the full moon falls on a Sunday ,Easter day is the week after.
Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day, and of course for Maurice being an Irish man the day is special, we have nothing planned but will have to see how things pan out, Four years ago we spent the day watching the wonderful parades in Killarney, and of course celebrating .We had the most amazing time the people, the scenery, and the music is something I will never forget.
Now this Tattoo!!Did you read ZoĆ«’s entry? Weeeellll …When I worked at the nursing home one of the girls who worked there was desperate to have a tattoo, and during the conversation ,someone had dared me to have one done too ,and because I had just met Maurice it was at his suggestion I chose what I did ,and the dare was one I couldn’t resist hee heee ,I even asked the tattooist if he gave reductions to pensioners he roared with laughter said he’d never been asked before ,and guess what for my cheek he did ,No good having cheek if you don’t use it ,lol.
So there you are its a little Shamrock on my leg! And no one guessed it, ha ha.
Now before I go, I would like to ask you to visit Helens journal, she was quite badly burnt as a little girl, and to help others she feels she would like to share her journey, a very brave and lovely young lady ,I know you will give her a proper J Land welcome.

Enjoy what’s left of the day ,lots of love and

I love that shamrock tatoo, Jan. Maurice must also since he's Irish. I have a rose above my left "boob." In the states, most of the St. Patty's celebrations were yesterday.
I was always questioning how Easter day came about and figured this year had to be the very earliest I had ever seen. Thanks for the info. Have yourself a Happy St. Patrick's Day! love xx Chris
It`s a pretty little tattoo Jan but I`ve always wondered, do they hurt when you get them done?
Love Sandra xxxx
That was very brave Jan, I wouldn't have a tattoo even for a dare. I didn't even have my ears pierced until I was about 30!!
Christine
You have a very special tatoo for sure. I would have never guessed. Happy St. Patrick's day to you. We still have quite a bit of snow so it is very hard to think about Easter being here and Spring comes our way this week too ! I spent the afternoon going though the closet in hopes of finding something more cheerful to wear as most of my winter clothing now seems very drab and I'm ready for a change. I always try to get the outfits lined up for the work week so I don't have to bother each day. Next weekend I'll be going to DS#1's so I have to plan for that too. Enjoy your St.Patrick's celebration. 'On Ya' - ma
PS: A Happy St. Patricks Day to you both and I`ve just been over to welcome Helen to JLand. :o)
Love Sandra xxxx
Nice tattoo! Happy St. Patricks Day, and thanks for letting me know about Helen's Blog. Julie
I've always wondered how Easter was decided and now that you've explained it, well, I'm just as confused. ;O)
Love the tat.

That is a lot less complicated than the way the church decides when Easter is wonder if it really pans out that way every year lol. Have a good St P,s day.

Cool tat. Congrats on being a guest editor's pick! -Dawn-
Hi Jan! Love the tattoo!
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and Maurice. A lot of cities here in the States are moving the dates of their parades because, as you know, St. Patrick's Day falls during Holy Week this year. Ours was this past Saturday. I've never been but would like to in the future. Looked like a good time.
I did not know that bit of info regarding Easter Day. Thank you for telling us about it! I knew Easter was 40 days after Ash Wednesday but had no idea that the full moon was involved.
Love and hugs,
Sheila

Does that little shamrock have anything to do with Maurice?? lol
We always celebrate St Paddy's day by making cornbeef and cabbage, with all the fixings to go with it. Since I am 75% Irish.. I look very forward to this special day!!

Hi Jan, I never would have guessed you had that tattoo! I hope you and Maurice have a good St Patrick's Day today. I've always wondered why we don't celebrate St George's Day here in England. Have a good week. Jeannette xx
I confess that I loathe tattoos and my son is covered in them! :-( But in your case Jan, as it's so discreet, I'll let you off ;-)
I often wondered why Easter moved around, so I've learned something today. Easter was a wonderful celebration when I was a child.
It's jolly cold here today brrrrrr. Where's Spring????

You are so right! It seems like I just put away the Christmas stuff and now it's Easter! That's spooky. I love your little tattoo. Very tasteful and cute!
Do you eat corn beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day? It's the tradition here and I've always wondered if it is in Ireland and England.

Woo woo who would have ever thunk it? I like it. Do you think they would give me a senior citizen discount? I always tell the young girls if I was younger I would get one. Would my prim and proper sisters have a fit? Paula
I love your tattoo! I think that we all need to do something a little wild in our lives; it keeps us young!--Sheria
