No pictures

So now, I sit down again to make an entry ,and I cant add my pictures ! ...it is any wonder people arent posting as often as they used to ,Guido has been talking to Vishi about this ,but it seems we still have problems ,though I did discover when I went into the journals chat room ,if you find the pretty mauve screen, dont give up ,leave it a minute and it sometimes connects ,I  was so dissapointed  to have  just missed Yasmin the other night ...

After all the high winds of late ,we have a lovely spring day here ,I have done two loads of laundry and it is now blowing gently on the line in the sunshine ,I have also tidied up the garden abit ,putting things back in place that the wind blew over ,

After much agonising ...I have made the decision to cease to be the secretary of the Residents Forum,I found myself dreading the meetings ,and then not enjoying the discussions because I was so busy taking the minutes ,then the chore of coming home and making sense of my notes I have spoken with the Tenant Participation Manager and the Chairman ,who have both been so kind ,have understood  my reasoning ,but would like me to stay on the committee, which I would like to do .

Had things been different ,I would have been married 49 years today March 14th ,Mick died of a massive heart attack 25 years ago ,Funny how things pan out ,but now I have my dear Maurice and we are very happy together .

Well as I said I planned to put my pictures of the display  in the Lavender Blue shop window ,for Mothers day and spring ,AHH WELL ! I believe the Easter one is due...come on AOL give us a break !

A few days ago,Beckie boo asked Zoe,for some ideas for some script she planned to have tatooed with her sons names. I commented on Zoes blog that I have a tattoo.... and well for those of you  who know Zoe ?,well she isnt a girl to miss an opportunity

If you click on to the link ,you can see what our Zoe has been up too ,hee heee what a girl she is ! So as soon as the add  picture facility is back ,I will post pictures to show you where and what it is ! ...Well I think that is all my news this time,Have a lovely weekend folks ,with love

I'm sorry you couldn't load the photos.  I am so exhausted with all the AOL problems that I have moved my entire blog to a new provider.  It took ages to move all the old posts, but I finished it yesterday.

It is nice to have lost the strong winds at last.  Part of our fence moved next door so we have a lot of clearing up to do!!

I'm guessing Mick inside a heart on your backside...

Tried to follow the link you posted but got nowhere.  Just wondering what your tattoo is and more importantly, where it is hehehehehehe  Eileenx

I'm so sorry that happened to Mick. What a heartbreak for you. Thank God you found Maurice and are so happy now.
A tattoo, huh? I thought of getting one years ago...but I'm CHICKEN! LOL!
Have a great day!
Love,
Pam

There seems to be a general problem with uploading photos and they are such an integral part of our blogs, aren't they?  I am waiting to receive photos of my niece's wedding so that I can do a blog, but no point if they can't be uploaded :-(  It was a 'bikers wedding' and quite amazing!
Lovely day today, have been clearing up the mess in the garden also.

Hi Jan,  I love Zoe`s journal, she always makes me laugh, what a great girl she is.
What a bittersweet day it must be for you, remembering what would have been your wedding anniversary. I`m so pleased for you that you have Maurice and are very happy together.  AOL did that to me earlier this week if you remember, causing me to have to delete a whole entry that took me ages to type out. Eventually after two more attempts I managed to post them two days later but it shouldn`t happen at all, there`s always something wrong with AOL...grrr!

Love Sandra xxxx

AOL would let me go to the link.  One of these days we will all get so tired of AOL we will all explode at once and make a terrible mess.  LOL.

How blessed  you are to have your Maurice.  I too lost my husband from a massive heart attack in '92.  That would be 16 years ago, but I was never fortuate enough to meet someone new.  I do not like the single life for sure, but don't have much choice so I make the best of a bad situation here.  How lovely to have laundry hanging on the line...here it would freeze up or never dry.  Today it is just above freezing and raining .  Enjoy the lovely day you're having !  'On Ya' - ma

We have a rainy day here today and may have severe weather later in the evening or it may be tonight when it reaches us. I always dread that. I am glad that you have a happy life with Maurice and Kizzy of course. Hugs, Helen

I dropped you an e-mail to suggest you try right clicking on the blank album icon on your journal, then click open as it will work for you that way.  It did for me as mine are still blanked out too.

I like looking in Lavender Blues window so hope this works for you Jan.  I nipped across to Zoe's to take part in the guessing game.
Congratulations to you and Maurice by the way.  May you have many more years together and forever!
Hugs

Certainly gremlins about, Jan.  My first attempt at a comment vanished, and yesterday three updates installed themselves in the middle of the quiz!
You know what I'm like with pictures; think I'll wait `til it blows over............

Hi! Jan....yes AOL is a pain just now with pictures...... Our Anniversary was 20yrs yesterday 13th March. But unlike you I wasn't Widowed but Divorced. I was almost alone for 11yrs. It was hard to Divorce the Man I adored, but so many resaons, and it broke my Heart at the time. Then Allan came along, and I wasn't even looking! Never thought I could love again, but then Allan is easy to love (lol)
Enjoy your weekend

Has the photo thing cleared up yet?  I think it was just the UK blogs.  I added pictures to Deb & Steph's today.  I sure hope you get yours up and running again because I love Lavender Blue.  I can't link to Zoe either :(  I haven't read Zoe in ages.  She just makes me laugh.  I'm glad you got rid of the secretary stress.  Enjoy your spring breezes.  Love xx Chris

Jan I just wanted to say congratulations on being a guest editor's pick this week. Take care and keep on blogging. Paula

I see you have your pictures working now!  Mine have not been working for at least 4 or 5 days now.  I have not been getting many alerts either. It just doesn't feel the same journaling without pictures.  They have become such an integral part of my daily dose!  I am still writing every day though, but on blogger and will continue to do so until I get my AOL sorted!   I hope that you have a lovely week!
and am looking foward to seeing the Easter Display in that lovely shop window!
love,
Marie

I think that as we get older our lives become like a big calendar of personal memories.  "On this day .............." .  We can make a reason to remember out of almost every day that passes and that's as it should be.  So glad your memories of Mick are still going strong.
love, Angie, xx
