Easter Sunday

This is the Easter card my great neices (Jeans Grand daughters )made for me .

I hope you are all having a peaceful Easter, We woke up this morning to snow, and though it had been forecast I was still surprised .Maurice who is working today ,rang up to say it was fine when he left home this morning at 5.30 ,but by the time he got to work it was just starting ,I was surprised at Kizzie who  loved it ,at first she thought it was some thing to eat ,then when she realised she couldn’t eat it all so she enjoyed her self charging about in it ,I hope it goes away as quickly as it came !

On Friday… Good Friday, we went into Peterborough, and as we left our little town we saw the crosses that the pilgrims put as they enter a village or town and as they leave it ,as they carry the cross (not sure where they started from this year )on their Pilgrimage though towns and villages and country roads  to Walsingham in Norfolk ,they had some atrocious weather to battle through this week has been awful ,high winds and rain, they passed through here on Tuesday ,I missed them sadly ,would love to have seen the procession .

 http://www.ecumenicalnews.co.uk/Walsingham.html

We went to see Kate; Sam had been to a sleep over the night before so he was catching up on his rest! …And Charlotte came to see us when Kate texted her to say Granny and Maurice are here, Easter eggs were gratefully received lol

Thankyou for this one Debbie ....

Yesterday, a certain dog that shall remain nameless! Jumped up beside me on the chair as I sat at my computer, she knocked the key board and after I sent out a ‘’Mayday ‘’ to Debbie, she came round and pronounced it dead! Huhh Well I couldn’t go all week end with out one could I? so though I hadn’t planned to go out in the horrid weather I donned warm clothes and went out and bought one from our local Computer shop, rather more than I would have paid in town but hey it was worth it for the convenience, and I supported the local shop, and any way you get what you pay for don’t you? And I called in all the shops on route to shelter from the gales, whether I needed anything or not! And in the charity shop I found the Toby jug Leprechaun, and then out side a house was a bucket of Daffodils, you put in your 50p and help your self, that happens all over the Fens, with fruit and veg and flowers, out side peoples homes often in very remote parts, isn’t it nice people can still be so trusting? , So on that happy note I wish you all a Very Blessed Easter Day, and leave you with this lovely graphic Donna made for me, with love from

We had quite a lot of snow this morning, the children loved it but it hasn't lasted very long. Poor Kizzie, I'm sure she didn't mean to kill the computer.  Happy Easter!

We had snow yesterday but it melted by day's end.  Today I woke up to temperatures in the teens.  Spring is up and down in the northern US.  Mostly cold.  LOL...a dead keyboard would certainly send me out in the nasty weather also.  We can't function without that.  Hope you have a very blessed day, Jan!  That Easter card is just precious.  Love xx Chris

I was able to open your pictures this time.  Goodness, Charlotte looks all grown up and move lovely than ever.  You did get a good bit of snow.  Kizzie doesn't seem to mind it a bit.  Looks cozy in her sweater.
Happy Day...xx Chris

A lovely Easter entry Jan....I couldn't see the pictures then came back to them.
I've done an Entry, but found AOL so slow this morning. I nearly gave up.
Your Kissie is such a cutie, and pondering on the snowfall :>)

Beautiful cards and pics Jan. It's bizarre to think of snow at Easter! Your baby was having a great time playing It! lol. It was starting to snow here a while ago!, better get my boots ready for tomorrow. It must have been meant to be that you found that Toby Jug! It looks perfectly at home with you. It's lovely to hear that people still leave things out for sale, for customer's to buy themselves. Have a wonderful day. Love Pam xx

Happy Easter you did do well with your bargain daffs they were £1 for a small bunch in the supermarket yesterday, ridiculous. I have a vase with three daffs in and a bit of my Eucalyptus  tree both casualties of the dreadful  wind. Love Joan

Very nice entry Jan.  I loved the photo's.  Can't believe you had snow today.  It was really warm here yesterday (nearly 70) so we did out Easter egg hunt with the children as we knew it was supposed to be cooler today.  It's only 52 today for the high but warming again next week.  My kind of weather.  Enjoy your day.
Hugs, Joyce

It looks like our weather...snow for Easter!  It was a good weekend anyway.  We don't let a little snow slow us down.  'On Ya'- ma

We were cold today, Jan.  Yesterday we awoke to about an inch of snow but the temps were warm enough to melt most of it by the end of the day.

Sounds like you celebrate Easter much like we do in the States.

Funny you mention the daffodils.  Last week, there was a daffodil fundraiser for cancer in our area.  A bunch of daffodils for $10.  If you wanted a vase to go with, it was an extra $5.  Definitely went to a good cause.

Sorry about the keyboard, but glad you were able to get it replaced quickly.  :)

Love and hugs,
Sheila

It sounds a lovely Easter Jan.  I enjoyed all the photographs especially the ones of your with your family and the ones of Kizzy in the snow, with her cute little coat on.  It's surprising what treasures you can find in Charity shops!  I always like to snoop around in them for odd bits of china and glass.  We got a few flakes of snow yesterday as well, but nothing that stuck.  It was lovely to see though and I enjoyed watching it falling.

Happy Easter Jan and to all your readers!
Yes what a surprise the snow was - my son was in Cambridge on Saturday and said he'd got stuck in a blizzard, even though where we were, a few miles away,  it was cold, windy and sunny. So I shouldn't have been surprised really, but it lay so thick,  I took some photos, which was just as well, as it had all gone by the afternoon!
Kizzie looks so sweet in her coat - did you knit it?
Lovely photos Jan.

I used to love the way people left plants and produce out for sale when we used to visit M-I-L when she lived on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. You don't see so much of it here in the Midlands.

Our dog loves the snow and charges about all over the silly place!  At that point, when she's got it all charned up and horrid, she loses interest!
You mad, impetuous woman, you - buying your new keyboard locally where it costs twice as much.  Ho ho, I do like your reasoning though!
love, Angie, xx
