Boxing day

Look at Santa in the graphic above ,taking a well deserved soak, in his tub, after delivering all the  presents ,I received some lovely presents from all my dear family ,and so did Maurice ,we opened them on Christmas eve ,well I couldnt be expected to wait till six thirty on Christmas day could I ?

I woke early and rang daughter Kate then Jean rang me ,then Derek ,and Sharon ,at ten o clock Mark picked me up and took me to his house where Chrisie Mark and I had a lovely day together they cooked a lovely dinner ,then plated up another for Maurice so I didnt have to cook ?they were going to Chrisie's brothers for tea ,so they brought me home where I had a snooze and watched some TV  until  Maurice came home .

When he came home we spent a pleasant evening together ,our dear friend Glen came round for a while ,then Maurice went off to bed ready for work today ,he will be home tomorrow then three nights ~then he will be off ,while I spent some time on the computer ,

I went for a walk this morning ,and found Somerfields open ,I bought some milk as I was getting dangerously low ! So now I'm going to watch 'The King and I 'on the box ,before getting dinner ready ....so enjoy the rest of the holiday everyone ,With Love From

                                                          Jan

Thanks Chris for the amusing graphic of Santa ,

Hi Jan - I guess everybody is busy relaxing and watching TV.  I have things to do on the computer (updating my xmas card list for a start - don't we always forget SOMEBODY!)
Thank you for the lovely photos of the craft shop, they came out really well.  I wonder if the shield is for the number of times they have won 'best dressed window display'?  Carousel do a lovely window too.
Best Wishes
Freda

What a lovely shop window, what  a lot of work went into that.  Glad you had a super time Jan. So did we, but we are absolutely knackered after yesterday and Mike has come down with a stinking cold which I shall definitely get as well.  Ho hum.  So black here you would think it has been evening all day. Will get back to my journal when I have more energy.  Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.

That shop window is so pretty!  Some of the shops in my town used to do some lovely windows but didn't seem to this year.  I love your tree.  I had the same beads until some kitty in my house pulled the whole tree down and dragged it across the room a few years ago.  Now, I have to stick to berries and things that are shiny.  It sounds like you had a lovely holiday.  LOL at Santa.  I was certainly in a weird mood.  Hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the holiday week.  Love xx Chris

Thanks for sharing with us!  Love the Santa Graphic.  DH and I watched the King and I the other night. It's a lovely movie, just wouldn't be Christmas without it.  Tonight it's the Wizard of Oz whether he likes it or not!

Glad to hear you weren't left on your own waiting for Maurice.

Mike had to go off to work at lunchtime and didn't get home until 6.15pm. My sister and partner came over for the afternoon and together we cooked dinner, it was a nice relaxing time but isn't it miserable when your loved one has to work Christmas Day? I think he's only had about 5 Christmas Days at home out of 23!

Have a Happy New Year.

Hi Jan.  That shop window with the Snow Queen is enchanting!  Very pretty!  They don't do windows up like that here.  I wish they did!
Blue is great!!  Wow I wanted to just dive into his furry coat!  He's so cuddly looking!
Looks like you had a nice time.  And your tree is pretty!  Thanks for sharing your pictures.
