Im still here !!

Thankyou for this lovely graphic Chris,A big bowl of for-get me-nots ..delightful .

Well here I am again after ,I dont know how many days absence,no reason really ,its just, one day follows another ,and by the time Ive  answered the alerts to your emails ,more time has gone and realise I should be doing some housework ,or since the weather has been so lovely I have been pottering in the garden,I went to the over sixties club today ,and we were entertained by a gentleman playing his guitar and singing all the old songs ,and of course we sang along with him ,remember I told you the first record I bought was Pat Boone singing Love Letters in the Sand ,well he sang that ,and Singing the blues !  OO Tommy Steele sang that ,and many more from my teen years .

Maurice has gone off to work (the first of three nights),after he'd gone I gave Jeannette(jottings) a ring ,she went for the first of her treatments today ,she has to have twenty three in all,so thats twenty two to go ,taking her up till the first of June ,she is finding it very difficult ,the treatment it self is bad enough ,but as you know she suffers quite badly from agoraphobia, making this even more of an ordeal ,and she had a devastating experiance at the weekend so the shock of that sent her blood sugar  sky high ,I told her I was so proud of her managing to go  today ,I can emphathize with her to a certain extent ,when Mick died I coped so well for about eighteen months ,well I had to ,I had four teenage children ,then wham it all hit me and I went to pieces ,not wanting to go out ,not wanting to eat etc ,so yes I know abit of how she feels ,so I am asking you to join me ,in praying for her ,of course I know you will .......Go for it Jeannette ,in the words of the lovely song ,''One day at a time sweet Jesus ''

To the side of our Bungalow ,is a patch of garden, long and narrow ,We have decided to turn it into a wild garden ,there are already some poppys and some pretty yellow flowers and lots of other stuff ,I have a packet of wild seeds, and am quite excited about the project ,I will of course keep you posted .so on that note I will take my leave (I now have 21 alerts )this journaling  business is like painting the Forth Bridge !

With lots of love

Lavender Blue

 Thankyou Donna

Yesterday, I set off for the shops, with my shopping trolley and camera,it struck me as odd ,there was nothing happening in the shop window Lavender Blue ,except some rather nice flower vases ,and other assorted goodies ,the man stood at the door way ,and was ,obviously aware of my puzzled look ,'Are you the lady who takes the pictures ?'Itold him yes ,he said 'dont take a picture of the window like that ,those are a few items we are selling off ,before I do the wedding window'....Oh ''THE WEDDING WINDOW ''I will most certainly be having a look at that and be sharing, meanwhile he kindly ,let me take some pictures inside ,what an Alladins cave ,everywhere you look there are such delightful displays ,I bought a couple of plants (Ifelt I should !)a forget- me-not,and an Aubrietia ( like yours Jean )When I got home I had great fun planting them when I started to dig,Kizzie so wanted to help dig the hole ! Maurice is at work today ,and I have some nice lamb to make for dinner tonight ,I see the mint I grew last year ,is doing realy well ,contained in its pot ,so I will make some mint sauce too.

I hope you all  have a blessed Sunday, with love and

A Happy Birthday

Thankyou again Donna, for todays graphic.

Well this entry is in danger of sounding like the one I did this day a year ago ...A very Happy Birthday ,to my eldest Grandson Iain Michael, who is twenty four today He is my daughter Sharons oldest and she also has Stuart who is getting married in June ,Paul who is nineteen this year ,and then Charlotte ,who will this year become a teenager .

Here is a picture taken last September ,of Iain with Paul and I.I know I posted the picture here before but not with Photobucket ,which Im still practising ,the resizing bit ?

And also as I said last year ,A very Happy Birthday to  HRH ,our dear Queen, who is eighty one today .

It would also have been my Mum and Dads sixty seventh wedding aniversary to day ,sadly they are no longer with us ,I was in the card shop the other week ,and a Lady was buying a card to celebrate her Mum and Dads seventieth aniversary ,she said they had received a telegram from the Queen ,and that they argued like cat and dog ,but loved each other to bits .

And as it is Saturday,I shall soon be going into the town with my trolley, but before I do ,one more picture

Here is the latest picture of Kizzie ,notice the cocked ear ! Well I had better get on with some Saturday stuff ,so have a lovely day everyone with love  ....

Thankyou Again Donna !

Some more Southpaw stuff.

At the risk of boring you! I am going to share some more about left handed people and facts that I think are of interest

Southpaw Charlie Chaplin was born to British music-hall entertainers, on April 16th 1889 .Often regarded as the single most influential artist in the history of motion pictures, this creative lefty was a star in both silent and sound films, as well as a director. During a twenty year self imposed exile Chaplin settled in Switzerland, but returned to America in 1972 to receive a special Oscar for career achievement.

In 1999, lefty Paul McCartney reminisced on BBC Radio that when he first auditioned for the Beatles, he was given a right handed guitar. He turned it upside down and began to play in reverse.’ I remember John looking at me, like, ’Wow, you know this guys got something here’”.

Lefty Lore, The ancient Celts, whose high priestesses worshipped nature, viewed the left-hand side as sacred, the source of all life.

Lefty Siblings, Don and Phil Everly, Caroline and John Kennedy Jn.Dennis and Randy Quaid.

Lefty fun fact,”Stewardesses” is the longest word in the entire English language that is typed using only the left hand.

Unless like me, you pick and peck with the index finger of the left hand, so there I will leave it today, have a good one, everyone with love …

Look at my new Bike

I ordered this corset from Donna, last week,English size 12 ,Thankyou Donna perfect fit ....

On Saturday night after I did the entry about lefthanders ,I had put a picture on the entry, that I had tried to add but I was dissapointed it was very grainy ,Glen next door showed me how to use photobucket ,so I am sorry if you got some odd       alerts from me .....I was experimenting !

On Sunday afternoon my son Mark came over with his wife Chrissie and my daughter Kate came with them ,we sat on the patio enjoying the sunshine then Mark went out to his car and came back with this ...A bike for me ! I must have said in a conversation somewhere I would like a bike !!

Not sure about the pictures ,getting them to fit the page I used photobucket,I am still practising  the resize bit .I am pleased with my bike though ,all the family are telling me I should now get a helmet! They forget I had a baby seat on the back of my bike ,when they were babies and each in turn ,would ride on the back often falling asleep as I pedalled along the country roads to see my Mum and Dad ,We used to go miles like this ,because where we lived then ,there were no shops ,just a post office and a church .I suppose they are right though ,maybe I should get a cycle helmet .

Kizzie is still up to her mischief ,she has a passion for feet ,I have to keep my slippers on in doors I used to love to walk about with no shoes ,but she loves nibbling toes ,I am on the look out for some steel toe capped flip flops for the summer !

Well have a good evening everyone, and once again I am wondering if Donna has a crystal ball, any way I want to thank her for my siggy graphic today ....with love from

Aright to be left

8 days later !

My Friend Debbie ,made this graphic for me ,personalised graphics now ,arent I lucky ?

Talking of luck today is ~

Friday the thirteenth….

The belief that Friday 13th is an especially unlucky day is one of the widest-known superstitions in Britain today, and is erroneously assumed to be of great antiquity. The notion that thirteen is a generally unlucky number has not been found earlier than 1852, and although Fridays have been regarded as unlucky since medieval times, it is quite certain that the fear of Friday 13th is a Victorian invention. The first definite reference to Friday 13th is from 1913…….

I am trying to think what I have been doing since I last posted eight days ago ! Jean my siter who came on the bus to see me on Wednesday ,while she is on holiday from School she is a dinner lady and teachers assistant, says it called having a life ,I agree ....and a puppy !

My son Mark and Chrissie came over on Easter Monday, and we all went to St Ives where I found an outfit for my Grandsons wedding in June ,a suit in linen and cotton in a sort of french navy/airforce blue ,edged with white so I shall use white accsessories ,I have white shoes ,best to wear ones that you know are comfy it will be a long day !bought a little white lace bag ,and have a top that will be ideal ....somewhere ?Maurice bought a new landing net ,Oh and I bought three books for £4.50 from the second hand stall on the market ,by James Patterson .,we also bought a new jumper for Aunty Kitty ,when we got home I embroidered her name onto some tape andsewed it into the back of  the inside of collar.

On Tueday Maurice and I took Kizzie to the vet for her second jab ,so we can take her out on a lead next week ?she was weighed and has gained .29 kg ,is it ! Idont know ,I only do lbs and ounces! we then went on to see Aunty Kitty ,who was very sleepy ,Ithink I was more pleased with her new jumper than she was ,she couldnt be bothered ,isnt it a shame ? Then in the evening I went to the WI  meeting ,sadly the lady speaker Susannah Marshall ,who was to tell us about'Wickedly naughty women'was poorly and couldnt come ,she was going to try ,but her daughter said no ,but since she comes from Milton Keanes ,you couldnt blame her ,its alright coming ,but its along way afterwards to go home ,But WI women arent easily fazed so we had a  music quiz...the music that introduced old Radio programmes ,ie Mrs Dales Diary ,Dick Barton ,Family favourites, and top of the form to name the few I can remember ,I got 17 out of 24 lol

On Wednesday Jean came on the bus ,and Pete came after work to take her home  and we all had dinner together when Maurice got in ,during the day Jean met Debbie who came round ,and we all drank lots off coffee and alot of chatting took place ,in fact we all enjoyed our selves entertained of course by Kizzie .

Yesterday I went into the office for another meeting of the compaints and complements group I am on, we are setting up the new procedures So ,that is what I have been up to pheww ! now Im up to date ,hope I havent bored you all !When I finish this entry I am going to put my friend Debbie on my side bar( very remiss of me )she has done my graphics today ,arent they wonderful ,she has recently started a graphics journal called 'Debsdabs' encouraged by our dear Donna ,as well as her journal 'Whatever' ...So as ever have a lovely day( disregard the date ),With Love

And Kizzie xxx
